Absolutely Must-Visit Tacos in San Diego! We were in San Diego for a wedding and ended up eating at Mission Baja Tacos at least four times—they were that good! The tortillas are made fresh on the spot, and the meat is cooked to order, which makes a huge difference. Everything we tried was super tasty, but the carne asada and birria tacos were the real standouts. The birria was so juicy and flavorful that you don't even need consomé—it’s that good on its own. You can really taste the quality and care in every bite. Mission Baja has officially become a go-to for us, and I’ll be stopping there every time I’m in San Diego. Highly recommend!

Super delicious tacos!! I got the pollo, birria, and carne asada tacos, and the birria and carne asada were my favorite, though they were all really good! There's a salad bar to add whatever extra toppings and salsa you want. All of the sauces were really good, especially the green habanero one in a bottle. I dined in with a group, and even though it's a casual setting, the staff were all super friendly and checked on us to make sure everything was really good and ask if we needed anything. Will def come back here again!

The food was delicious! The tortillas for the tacos are cooked near the register - so fresh and smell delicious. I got carne asada tacos, it comes with meat onions & guac! My boyfriend got pollo asado which was also so good. 3 tacos was the perfect amount, and the salsa bar has a variety of things to add - the salsas are all spectacular - you’ll want to try them all. The employees were very kind and quick, but it was all so fresh too. Such a great experience. Cash prices are lower too! Thank you mission Baja tacos!!

I enjoyed a very good ham and eggs breakfast burrito from this newer taco shop in Mission Beach. The burrito cost $12.99, a little pricey, but given where this business is located, a block from the beach, it's understood.

The burrito was quite large and came with a very good amount of ham and eggs, not to mention potatoes and some cheese. I liked that they used an all white cheese, but a little more cheese would have been welcomed. Good breakfast burrito and very filling.

They offer a nice salsa bar with good choices, including three hot sauces, hot carrots, fresh pico, radishes, pickled onions, cilantro, and limes. The hot sauce and pico were very good.

The staff members ate very friendly. Oh yes, they make their own corn tortillas in-house, and they are terrific. Inside seating only...

Happened to be in the area and stopped to give this place a try. Sure glad we did. Service was fast and friendly. They were making their own tortillas. The food was amazingly fabulous! We tried various types of tacos, carne asada quesadilla and chili rellano ala carte. Everything was so fresh and good. This is a small establishment but there were quite a few tables. They have an extensive salsa bar that was also yummy and very clean. Only disappointment (and not the restaurant’s fault either) is parking is scarce to non existent depending on day and time. We will definitely be back when...
