My son was the one who wanted to go snorkeling. Ive always been afraid of sharks and being in the sea. I had to go cause he wasnt old enough. Our guide took care of everyone on our group. He kept asking me if I was ok. He Probibly seen the fear and panic I was trying to hide. After we got started and I took about a min of getting used to the water and breathing through the snorkel I finally calmed down. I got completely lost in the underwater sea life. It was so beautiful and mesmerizing. I was so happy my son wanted to and forced me to face my fears. The whole tour was incrediable to be swimming with sea otters and seeing some of the caves amd sea life in La Jolla. I would most defiantly do it again. My husband and I were in San Diego in August, and while we had the opportunity to do the combined kayak and snorkel with a different company last October, we wanted to find something exclusively focused on snorkeling this time. Totally phenomenal experience -- so much better to snorkel this way! Rich was an obviously experienced guide, knowing where to take us so that we could see the most sea lions in areas not accessible to the kayaks. More time actually spent in the water, so ultimately more time spent snorkeling! Rich had a Go-Pro camera with him and took tons of photos, both under the water and above, so that we would have a great way to document our trip. This was such a fantastic experience! Rich, our tour guide, was absolutely incredible. This was our first time snorkeling and he was patient and explained every step of the process, and quickly put our minds at ease. Because of cancellations, our group was just my wife and I and that made the experience even more amazing!

Rich was incredibly knowledgeable about the gear (they provide all the gear you need), process, coastline, wildlife, everything. We saw multiple sea lions up close and right underneath us. Don’t forget a waterproof camera. I can’t recommend this enough....
