Rosaria Pizza — Restaurant in San Diego

If your expectations are in the basement this is the place for you. Let me preface this by saying they did fully refund my meal but, I wouldn’t recommend this pizza spot to anyone. Ordered two pepperoni slice combo, they heated up 2 cheese slices and then placed pepperonis on top and the drink machine had maybe 50% of the drinks available. Ordered 6 wings and wasn’t asked; mild, medium or hot which I found strange until I learned they only have one flavor wing and can’t do extra sauce because “that’s how the wings come”. I asked for the wings to be extra crispy, wings came out barely warm and looked disgusting and smashed into a container that was too small. On top of all this the person taking your order is also the assistant chef never saw her change gloves, wash her hands but did watch her get her hair out of her face multiple...

So I’m not sure it’s 100% Rosarios fault, but my order took 2 hours to get (after an estimated 1 hour delivery time). In their defense, they did hook it up with an extra pie. That being said; we ordered a family salad and 12 piece wings and received (1) ranch.....one. But I managed to call the driver back (since the actual restaurant only answers their phone on the 3rd or 4 attempt) and she actually came back with some extra ranch. So I’d give the driver 5 stars.. but the restaurant gets 3.... would’ve been 1 or maybe 2, but they had some effort put forth. We weren’t fans of the pizza or salad, but the wings were good. I’m not going to bash the food beyond that as everyone has their own taste and should try something...

I can’t let this one slide. This is hands down, the worst pizza in America. Perhaps the world. Most likely the world. And this is not hyperbole. The only way I can explain the high star rating after 90+ reviews are through a series of Russian bots or a North Korean, government sponsored hacking syndicate. The only reason I happened across this blatant attack on culinary sanctity is by my enthusiasm to Google this abomination to show my friends when discussing Chicago and its pizza superiority. I do not have the available vocabulary nor proper combination of words available in my head to describe just how awful this...
