⭐️5 Fantastic stay! Before visiting customer service was super helpful over the phone and took down our requests. We booked a pool side room. Although it didn't come with a microwave. I made a request before hand and luckily we were able to get one in our room without an additional charge. Upon arrival the person at the desk Randy was super helpful. Gave us a rundown of everything, told us where to park etc . Room was clean and they brought in our crib and microwave before we got into the room. Our stay was amazing , scenery was so beautiful. Kids loved the hotel cat, ponds, and birds . The pool was so fun. We had a blast at the arcade as well ! Loved that this hotel including clean pool towels for convenience. Next to the pool was daily kid crafts . We made cute keepsakes while we were there ! The kids also were able to do the movie on the bay and ice cream social on Wednesday! We had a scavenger hunt given to us by the front desk and afterwards the kids turned it in to the Java cafe for a baked treat. Gift shop was REASONABLY PRICED ! Which is something I never thought I'd say! My kids were able to pick out some goodies under $10! ( bracelets , necklaces , notebooks) We ordered room service a few nights and the food was INCREDIBLE! The portions were HUGE. The kids meals could easily feed an adult and came with a scoop of ice cream ! Win win Restaurants are within walking distance. We tried world famous. The food was incredible, great portions and had a view. Beach was fun and clean . We did yoga on the beach in the am (8:30) and it was just so beautiful and the ladies we had instructing us were amazing ! Also kid friendly. Afterwards checking out was an absolute breeze and zero hidden fees were found once checking out ! 1)One thing I will say is poolside can be loud, however didn't bother any my kids including a baby sleeping . The curfew at 10pm was always enforced which made things perfect. 2) no top latch on the hotel doors. Also wasn't a huge problem for us . 3) make sure to ask for utensils and condiments when ordering room service . One night they were slammed and I ran down for some. Again totally understandable #catamaranhotelresort #beachvibes #beachvacation #sandiego

Stayed for weekend of our wedding, mid June- aka peak travel. Booked one of the more expensive rooms- about $500+/PN. Not sure its relevant but paid in full/early for room. We're to check in Friday& leave Sunday. While booking, I noted would be celebrating a wedding&if possible want early check in. Day of, we call around 11a to ask about early check in, no due to full capacity(bummer), but guaranteed check in will be ready at 430p. We arrive around 445p, after waiting in line it's closer to 5p. Room isn't ready. The man helping is SO nice, he comped parking for our stay(I think about $40/per day). Then tells us if we wait over 30 mins for our room he will help us again. I get back in line exactly at 30 min mark, after waiting about 15 mins in line girl says "well you're room is ready now soo"... So I explained what happened&how room is now almost 2 hrs late&other man said wed be additionally comped if past 30 mins.. She says "yeah we'll your room is ready" completely ignoring what I just said. Ok whatever, don't wanna make a scene, we go to our room. 1st, only benefits to this room are the view&microwave(which we didn't use). I normally clean high touch/sensitive areas when staying in hotels but this was ridiculous. Carpets had stains all over, toliet was dusty(as if not wiped down at all), sink had a strand of hair& the desk/chair was covered in built up grime. It was DISGUSTING. You expect a hotel room to be clean at check in, but 2 hrs past check in& still not adequately cleaned??... moving on. Friday night, ordered room service cause it's the night before our wedding& we wanna splurge. We order about $70 worth of food to try things. The food was ehh, the guy who brought it was super friendly, so of course we tipped him. Around 2-3am we BOTH wake up to use the restroom. Needless to say the food did NOT sit well with us. Saturday, day of our wedding. One main reason we booked this "resort" was their dinner restaurant Oceana is meant to be highly rated. We called about a week&a half or so prior to make reservation for a wedding reception of 14 people for Oceana Kitchen. We specifically req the back outdoor corner as we were told previously they push the tables together to accommodate large parties. The girl booked us for 430p- yay can't wait! At reservation time our family goes to check in, we come down to see our family separated at TWO bonfire styled tables directly in the sun?? Even if someone didn't req the area that we did, why seat a WEDDING RECEPTION party at 2 separate areas that don't even have tables? Next to us there was a long table with about 12 chairs that was "reserved", I went to the front desk to see if maybe there was a misunderstanding&if that table was for us. Nope, reserved for another. I ask since we're there could we use it, no its reserved. OK cool. I go back to where our family is sitting- at this point I'm visibly upset- verge of tears lol. Manager comes over&asks us to explain the situation. After explaining he seemed to empathize with us& offered the "reserved" table. ATP I'm contemplating should we even stay, asked if we can wait for table we originally req. He tells me that area is for "dinner" reservations ONLY(which starts at 530p btw). Turns out we're booked for Morays- their lunch menu. Which yep- you guessed it, same menu that made us sick the night prior🤢🤢.... At this point I want to leave&never come back, all staff were complete&total opposites of service scale, either super great...or condescending& unsympathetic. Don't feel we asked for extraordinary, NO prob waiting for table we req... didn't have a huge prob waiting for the room, until we realized it wasn't adequately cleaned. We've stayed at BnBs with significantly better service than this, I'm talking bday balloons, hand written cards for occasions, comp breakfast, etc! Couldn't even get the most basic of service here. Wanted a memory to revisit but this "resort" ruined that for us. Was offered comped room service(which didn't happen)but ended at World Famous down the street- 10/10 rec! Will prob never stay...

If I can give this place negative stars I would. It’s not even worth 1 star. My family and I went to San Diego for a concert and stayed at this run down place from 10/13/23 - 10/15/23. Let me tell you the pictures used to advertise the rooms aren’t even close to what they actually look like. My husband had booked the two queen bed garden view too room. Well when we got there I was so tired I didn’t even put two and two together that we were given a room on the 14th floor. We go up there on the run down elevator and turn on the lights. It was like walking into a serial killers room. The yellow dull light flickered on and it was so dim in there. My daughters were actually scared. It smelled old and had like this moldy, humid smell. I don’t even know how to describe it. The kitchen had this crusty fridge that looked like body parts were stored in there. I’m not even trying to be funny. It was so rusty along with their 1950s rusty stove with crooked burners. The bathroom tiles looked so disgusting I wouldn’t even want to shower in there. It looked moldy. I wish I would of taken pictures of the inside but I was so mad because we paid over $1000 for the weekend and this was not close to anything luxurious. Motel6 looks way cleaner. After reviewing our booking and making sure we didn’t book the wrong room we go back to the lobby to tell them we booked a garden room. Well the receptionist proceeds to tell us that the room names changed and just because they say garden view does not mean it’s by a garden. So now this place does fake advertising because that’s not what the room description states. So then she tells us that she can move us to the 4th floor to a different room but that’s all she had left. So we go down to the fourth floor and same exact thing. The room smelled. Had the same yellow flickering lights, same moldy looking bathroom and to top it off we were looking at the parking garage. At this point I was boiling mad. We worked way too hard to pay so much money for these ugly run down rooms. So there goes my whole family again to the lobby and this time asked to talk to the supervisor. Jenny was able to move us to the 2nd floor which was supposedly renovated and would be looking at the garden. She also gave us a complimentary night and comped our parking too. I appreciated her help a lot because even though it’s not what we had booked at least this room actually had some light and it looked decent. Well we finally settled in. When I was sitting on the bed I kept getting the whiff of poop. I kept telling my husband that something stunk and I couldn’t figure it out. Well I then smelt the bedsheets and the sheet had this poop smell. So we ripped it off the bed. I sat down again and kept smelling it. We then smelled the comforters and omg it was horrible. It didn’t even smell clean. It smelled like poop mixed with throw up. It was so disgusting. So we take that off the bed too and call room service for new blankets. We get told there is no room service and to go get clean blankets at the lobby. So there we go once again to the lobby at 1 am for clean sheets. The sheets we were given actually smelled clean. This whole experience was a nightmare. It was so bad that right after our concert on Saturday night we just ended up packing our stuff at midnight and driving home. We just couldn’t do it anymore. On top of that my daughter woke up with two bug bites on her arm. I wouldn’t doubt for a minute that there are bed bugs too. Do NOT waste your money here. This is not luxurious and certainly not worth what they charge. I will make sure to tell all my family and friends about this place so they don’t go through what we went through. I did take some pictures of the hallways that looked dirty as well just to give you an idea of what your in for. Oh also, the arcade sucks. It’s a really small run down arcade that has old broken games. Don’t let the description of this place fool you. I am still so upset about this place that I will be reviewing it anywhere...

BEWARE!! WOULDN’T RECOMMEND!!

They messed up my reservations when booking my room early for my conference. The day before I called to see when check in was they said that I was checking out a day early then what I had reserved. My conference was at their resort and they thought I was leaving early when from the start I told them that I needed all days?? They then charged me a regular room price after fixing first time because I was past the deadline EVEN THOUGH I MADE RESERVATIONS EARLY AND THEY MESSED IT UP!!

When arriving things were still messed up, so again I had to redo reservations for a second time. I had requested a ADA room accessible (because of my broken ankle) at that point and they said rooms were pretty full. I then asked for a shower chair and they said no problem.

So guess what they put me in the tower where I have to walk pretty far to get to my room, they put me on the 12th floor so I have to stand on my broken ankle more because of people getting on and off the elevator on the different floors below.

Once in my room there was no way to fully secure the door on the inside. The decor was straight from the 90’s, I can hear music being played in other rooms, heard all of the traffic on the street, the safe was shut and locked so I couldn’t secure anything, and their was no shower chair, so I wasn’t able to take a shower for the 2 nights I stayed.

To top it off housekeeping came by the next day after being there one night. They knocked twice (I didn’t answer because I was right in the middle of writing a paper on my laptop during a break at my conference) then they just came right in. I told them to leave and they asked if I was checking out that day and after all the trouble and let down I was rude to them and told them to leave NOW. After that I called down to the front desk and asked if they had messed up my reservation for a 3rd time and they said no. The lady acted surprised and said she would notify housekeeping right away… still no word or apology from them!! Not even from the manager. My privacy has been violated and I barricaded myself in for fear someone would come in while I was sleeping.

I am so upset that my non-profit payed for this. My nonprofit is funded by a county in KANSAS, and I feel this place took advantage of government money! Once the county finds out they might be looking into legal action.

So please just save your money and stay somewhere else even if your conference is here. I have payed half of this price and felt safe and secure, but no not here. Heck I live in a crime ridden city nicknamed “Cap City” for a reason and I feel safer there then here!!!

Next time (if there is one) I will rent a car and stay somewhere with...
