I very rarely leave bad reviews, especially from a restaurant I didn’t get the chance to eat at. But my partner and I came down for breakfast at 10:42AM, when the host greeted us he told us that breakfast was ending in 3 minutes (the website says 11AM) and that we should order take out if we wanted breakfast. It wasn’t until I looked unpleased that he reluctantly offered to seat us.
We chose not be seated or order take out. I worked in the service industry for over 10 years and I understand that when a customer comes in close to closing time it can be frustrating. I also understand doing last call for the Kitchen slightly earlier than closing because the kitchen needs time prepare the food and clean up. But when offering take out as an option, the reason for not seating us is not due to the last call for food, it was because the servers did not serve guests past 11AM. This is what was frustrating with my experience.
As a past restaurant manager I would be extremely disappointed if my staff turned away business because they simple did not want to serve another table 18 minutes before closing. Also since it was for breakfast, an experienced server should be able to turn the table by 11:20AM at the latest. There is no chance that the entire kitchen and service staff would have had the entire restaurant cleaned and closed up by 11:20AM.
Overall, I was very unimpressed with the professionalism...
Read moreMy sister has a Passport Passbook, which led us to this hidden gem—an unexpected surprise at the end of our Sunday afternoon stroll! We stopped by around 2pm and the staff welcomed us warmly as soon as we stepped in, and at first, we were the only ones there. However, it gradually started filling up.
I believe the restaurant's hours are incorrectly listed online on Google shows it opens at 5 PM, but it’s actually open from the morning until 9 PM. This might why more people don’t stop by.
The place was clean like just remodeled, food was excellent in both quality and quantity, and the prices were reasonable. We ordered the jumbo shrimp taco, cheese pizza, and lemon cheesecake—all were delicious, but the jumbo shrimp taco was my favorite! Located in the Hilton, near the marina with a great view of the yachts, the restaurant has plenty of parking. Since we were already walking, we parked across the street. Definitely coming back...
Read moreMade a reservation to have a dinner date after wedding planning. All doors were locked and had to go through hotel to get to restaurant. Lucky we knew where to go since we had stayed at this hotel before. Host and waitress were up front and told us we could sit in the bar anywhere. We told them we had made a reservation and were told the food was the same everywhere. Felt like we would be putting the waitress out by sitting in the empty dining room. Bar was to loud so we sat on the thin balcony overlooking the boat parking. “Not the large harbor or bay” The bar selection of cocktails was limited not a craft cocktail place. The drink I ordered was not good my husband went in to switch if possible and he felt like it was a giant inconvenience. Pizza was nothing special expected something more at that price point. Egg rolls and shrimp cocktail was good but again a bit pricey for what was received. We will...
