This is a motel pretending to be a hotel. The exterior tries to look like a decent San Diego bay property, but the interior is like every motel I have ever been inside.
I was placed in a second floor room, right off the elevator. Noise blocking is non-existent. You will get to hear everyone's conversations who gather at the elevators. I also found a pubic hair on the toilet in the room.
Tried to raise concerns to the staff by using their app they so desperately want us to use, but nobody responded for over a half hour. It was late, and I was tired, so I gave up, put in ear plugs and made the best of it.
I found the staff here to be rude, and unhelpful. The Marriott app doesn't work to check in -- it will send you a notice to check in, and even tell you that you are checked in -- but you will still have to make a trip to the front desk to show ID and physically present a credit card, which makes the entire app check in process they prompt you to do, a waste of your time. I raised concerns several times to the staff. Received extremely late replies back, and one promise of a phone call, which never happened.
I am horrified that this property is carrying the Marriott name. I was actually on a two-leg trip when I visited this property, and had just flown in from another stay at a Marriott in Houston, Texas. The difference between an actual hotel-Marriott, and this motel pretending to be a hotel, and stark.
The ONLY benefit of this property, is the close proximity to the airport, and the bay. For an extra 50-75 dollars I might as well have stayed at a real hotel right on the water. Next time I will.

Read moreExceptional Service from Janell at the Front Desk!||I had the pleasure of being checked in by Janell during our recent stay at the Courtyard at Liberty Station, and I have to say—she was absolutely amazing. From the moment we arrived, Janell was professional, welcoming, polite, and full of helpful information. She asked if it was our first time staying there, and when I mentioned that we usually stay in downtown Gaslamp but wanted to try something new, she genuinely thanked us for choosing their location.||When she handed us our room keys and I saw we were in Room 111, I excitedly told her those were my angel numbers. She responded with such warmth, saying, “Oh my, that means you made a great choice staying with us,” and I couldn’t have agreed more.||Not even 15 minutes later, there was a knock on our door. My husband answered, and to our surprise, Janell had delivered a thoughtful gift bag filled with goodies—waters, chocolates, trail mix, chips, a handwritten note thanking us for staying, a beverage voucher, and a special message about my angel number: “Follow your true goals and desires and listen to your individual voice when making decisions.”||As a former Marriott employee myself, this act of kindness truly touched my heart. Janell is a shining example of the Marriott philosophy: “If you treat your employees right, they will treat the customer right, and the customer will come back.” Because of Janell, that’s exactly what we’ll do—we’ll be coming back!||Thank you, Janell, for going above and beyond. You made our stay memorable in...
Read moreMy number one issue is regarding their accessibility. I am breastfeeding traveling without my baby so I had a weeks worth of breast milk I needed frozen. I called ahead of time and confirmed I could have my milk put in a freezer. I was only staying for one night but it was the night before my flight so it was extra imperative that my milk be frozen solid so that it stays cold during the 6 hr flight plus my ice packs for the fresh milk. When I arrived I handed them my bag and explained again my milk needs to be frozen, I explained this twice because they seemed confused. They took my bag and I went about my day. Well I just picked my bag up as I checked out and when I reached in to grab my ice pack for the flight I found that none of the milk was frozen meaning they definitely did not put my bag in the freezer, I suspect they probably put it in the fridge. It’s just incredibly disappointing because I needed this milk from my baby and totally ruined the integrity of the milk, I don’t even know if I’ll still be able to feed it and now it’s not even frozen solid for my flight which means it’s just going to continue to get warmer and warmer. Really disappointing. Just something to note for any other moms who may be in my situation to make sure to check the milk I guess and make sure it’s actually in a freezer not a fridge.
Besides that my room was big with a balcony facing the water and that was nice. The room seemed a little old but not a big deal. And the food at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was...
