_______TOO LONG TO READ? --》》IN A NUTSHELL::::: Do come here if you want a " flavorbull in your mouth " tastey, crave-satisfying gelato, but not if you want to sit and stay a while.....
ATMOSPHERE: 2 OUT OF 5. it was clean...cool ok but only I would think the place would have smelled like a classic coffee shop or possibly that sugary cupcake frosting smell, but nope ...the place smelled of nothing which is typically yummy...but at least it didn't smell bad... It just doesn't provide any smell nostalgia.
SMALL- if you're planning to come here with a group, or even stay & linger for a while, you might have a hard time finding a table ....this place is tiny! I walked in and felt like I was at the back of the store already. All tables inside are only 2 seaters... There are a couple of seats outside that seat 4 or 5 though, which is nice.
SERVICE: AVERAGE . There were two girls working hair when I stopped by nobody was in the front when I initially walked in had to wait a few minutes for the girls to come out from the back. One girl was helpful in that she offered me to sample the gelato before I bought it, which I was happy about! TASTE: ...AAAAAAND yep ok, that's why I came here! I got a small cup, with 3 flavors....Hazlenut, Lingonberries, and Pistachio. ... OMG ... It is just how I imagiened and was hopping that would be.... The flavors were INTENESE ...not bland or over sugary. No fake chemical flavors..... Even the temperature of the gelato was just right it wasn't so cold that hurt your teeth.... I also notice sometimes if gelato or ice cream is too cold, the flavors don't seem to come through as well....

I lived in Italy for long time, and I live in downtown (near little Italy, not in )so near this coffee, I don't go to any Italian place because I had bad experience in Italy, ( I remember one of them, which was during the last day I was leaving Italy, the server, who brings your order to where you sit, refused to bring my order, because I look like a second or a third level costumer, I left the cappuccino on that Bar and came to USA forever), and today, unfortunately I missed the Italian taste and to speak Italian, too. guess what I found here:
Pros: The location is the best. Parking is near. Somebody gonna service right away, when you enter. there are lot of tables to sit. Workers are doing their job perfectly! .
But wait.. Positive for negative is much negative.
Cons: The taste is not Italian, not Mexican nor American. The prices are not Italian, nor American, and for sure not Mexican, $$$$. you have to sit in the small sapce inside, The place, is eating the pedestrians curb. AS I pass frequently by mistake near there, I spontaneously give a smile for everyone looks at me, because they are on my way. You have to serve yourself after you pay. So I don't blame the Italian server who didn't serve me. Unfortunately, only the service is Italian (Italian service is selective, you should look so gentle or from a specific race , to see a smile or to hear a complete sentence or answer).
An advice: If you don't look Italian, don't speak Italian, they gonna look at you, as you just...
Read moreUpdated: This place was recommended to us and we were really excited to try it out, TLDR got food poisoning, ok coffee, poor service.
When we ordered the guy asked if it was for Togo or here, and we said here; we ordered 1 cappuccino and 1 panini he then said the panini might take a little long. Long was an understatement, after 30 minutes my wife walked inside to ask about our 1 panini but no one cared to notice her. She saw a bag on the pickup counter for Salmon panini so she took it thinking they packed ours Togo because they our cappuccino in a Togo cup. Another 15 minutes go by and the cashier guy comes out with our Salmon panini confused when I showed him the Togo bag empty. I told him that we got it from inside after waiting for 30 minutes for our food and he just walked away, not a word. He then took our food, bagged it, and gave it the another guy waiting for his Togo. Don't understand what our number on the table was for if it doesn't get checked. Understaffed, poor attention to customers and orders.
Update: Post was written soon after we left but 3 hours later we were feeling fatigue, upset stomachs, gaseous, diarrheas, and body ache. We did not eat anything else in between and shared the panini and cappuccino. In hindsight, there must have been cross contamination as the sandwich maker gal was the same gal that served and cleaned tables. As of 11am today (4/12) we are still reeling from fatigue...
