We started going to the Little Italy Dog Park about 5 months ago and now it's the only park we frequent. It's a smaller dog Park but the folks that are regulars here are very nice and are, for the most part, responsible and clean up after their fur buddies. Almost every dog that is brought here is mild mannered and well behaved. As a matter of fact I've only witnessed any kind of dog aggression once or twice in the entire time that I've been coming here. Kodi, our Shiba Inu loves it and has made quite a few friends here, canine and otherwise 😉 The only drawback about this dog park is the parking. Somedays it's kind of difficult, but Not impossible, to find a parking spot. Wednesdays and Saturdays are especially tricky since they have a Farmer's Market on those two days Overall we've had a very positive experience at this smaller but very...

Not a fan. I went because I heard they had a section for little dogs. The little dog park is under construction and even when it’s open the space will be way too tiny for even my 7lb dog to run around in. The biggest issue though was that the park does not have any netting or chicken wire on the wrought iron fence surrounding the park. I thought maybe this was only the case in the big dog section, but I looked and it’s the same in the little dog section. This was a huge problem because the spaces between the bars in the fence are really big! My dog could easily wiggle through them and he tried twice. I barely caught him by the collar before he slipped through. I wouldn’t bring any small or skinny dog to this park. Plus it was difficult to find parking. I won’t be going to this...

It's small and probably great if you live in the area or want to give your dog a break from the Saturday Farmers Market. It's also adjacent to an outdoor , shady snack/coffee bar, so it's a place for a human with a dog to take a break from the Farmers market crowd as well. On the other hand, it's not worth driving there, especially on a Saturday, if want your dog to run and get some exercise. I am not keen on dog parks anyway so this one did not change my mind. Oh, the water fountain for the dogs didn't work, and the guy at the coffee bar on the day I went,...

Super neat space tucked in the heart of Little Italy near downtown San Diego. Went today to take our pup for a corgi gathering and it didn't disappoint. There is are a ton of paid lots around the park but if you're going to try to find free spots on a weekend, you're going to have a bad time. Most of the people there are local residents that have parking in their high rises but for the rest of us to get a spot it's a tough task. We did find one reasonably quick. But the park area is neat and lots of really friendly people with the paw friends.

I've been looking for the best dog park in a 10 minute drive from my house. This one isn't it. It's small and has a lot of traffic noise. It has umbrellas, chairs and benches, wich is nice because you can sit in the shade. Limited metered parking. The day I went to the park it had an awful pee smell which might be due to the fact that part of the park is covered in fake grass. The other part is dirt. If you're in the neighborhood you might want to stop by. My fur baby had a great time. However it isn't worth a drive.
