Pho Xpress — Restaurant in San Diego

Easily the worst food experience I've had in my recent memory. To begin with, it took well over an hour for delivery (I specifically picked this restaurant because estimated delivery was 40 minutes or less; the delivery tracker showed the delivery person waiting at the restaurant for at least 25 minutes) and when it finally got here, the delivery person said they were not given the drink I ordered. I also ordered a BBQ pork banh mi and it was disgusting. The bread was slightly stale, and the pork was somehow drier than the bread. There was no freshness to the herbs and vegetables like I'm used to from other banh mis. Essentially, I just can't imagine the sandwich was made today. Really disappointing. Based on the reviews here I guess the pho must be good but...

Very good customer service! I ordered a sandwich, egg rolls, and 2 coffees through Uber Eats. The driver mixed up my order with someone else's-- I immediately told him he gave me the wrong order, but he rudely told me it wasnt his problem and to call the restaurant. So I did, and they tried talking to the driver too, but without success. The lovely man at Pho Xpress asked if I would be able to come pick up a fresh order, and I agreed. He told me to just keep the wrong order as well. When I arrived to pick up my original order he greeted me very kindly and apologized again for the mix up. It was really a mess up on Uber Eats' end, not Pho Xpress, but they still made a good effort to make me happy.

AND the food is delicious!! Let's not forget about...

I ordered spring rolls, grilled chicken sandwich and iced Thai tea with no bobba. Worst 3 things ever. Can't believe people have positive reviews. My spring rolls came first. The plate smelled like vomit. The rice paper smelled of dirty water. The peanut sauce was like eating teriyaki sauce. My Thai iced tea with bobba. Watered down. Cheap. Grilled chicken sandwich? Don't fool yourself. Not even real open flame bbq. Again like eating teriyaki sauce with mayo. Chicken was not a true bbq. Horrible service. No water was offered to me. Although I didn't need it because I had a watered down Thai iced tea to curb that thirty of dried and super sweet garbage.
