I've been coming here every 3 weeks for the last 2 years, paying between $80-$150 each time I come, depending on if i get a pedicure or not. Unfortunately, over the last 6 months there have been some issues, but I kept going until this most recent situation. I went last week and got a pedicure and acrylic fill. During the pedicure, the the tech the side of my toe, which then did in fact end up getting infected within hours. I've obviously been cut before at a nail salon (specifically here), but the infection is what got me. I ended up having to see a dermatologist to give me a prescription anti-fungal. STILL even after this, I needed to go back because within a week, one of my whole finger nails came off. Again, I've been coming here every 3 weeks for 2 years (and brought them additional clients), so you'd think there would be some sort of good report for a consistent client. I popped in during lunch to see if someone could fix it. The older gentleman (who has done my nails many times) looked like he was in charge that day and he said it would be a long wait, so I asked if I could come first thing in the morning. I asked when they opened and he said "You come at 10." I said great, I will be here. I get there today at 9:56AM and the older gentleman is in charge again. He looks at me and laughs and says there's no one able to do my nail so I'll need to wait. When I pressed him on the fact that he has just told me yesterday to come at 10, he said the people already in the salon had appointments at 9:30 so I should have come then. He refused to validate the fact that he gave me the wrong time, but worse, was not able to accommodate to fix my nail. I told him I would have to stop coming to this salon and he said, "ok!"
Additionally, the last 6 months, the cost of my nails has fluctuated (always getting higher and higher), and when you ask why they always have a different answer. One day it's the shape (even tho i always have the same shape), one day it's because "they're long." Like what?? Obviously, it's my own fault for staying so long, but if I were someone looking at reviews to find a nail salon, I WOULD AVOID THIS PLACE. Very unfortunate because I do really like and enjoy the man who i think is the...
Read moreI had to make this post before I even left the parking lot. The $150 I spent on my nails and toes were wasted. I finally found an image of the nails I wanted and showed the young lady- she then got an attitude and started speaking her native language and started laughing with everyone else when I didn’t like the initial PURPLE color she put on my nails. Another lady stepped in to try and assist in creating the cat eye design I wanted and at that point I was over it so I just said ok. The nasty attitude girl then finished my nails while I was still in the pedicure bowl, handed me my shoes (I put them back on myself- which they normally do for paying nail customers) THEN PROCEEDED TO STAND BEHIND ME AS I PUT THEM ON AND PUSHED TWO CARTS AND THE CHAIR SHE WAS SITTING IN OUT OF THE WAY JUST FOR ME TO GET TO THE COUNTER AND PAY. Her attitude was insane. Everyone else kinda laughed and joked saying let her out which I found extremely disrespectful as a black woman meanwhile there are 10 other people in the business getting serviced with the kindest interactions possible. Will NEVER set foot back into this disrespectful shop. Go somewhere else. They talked mess about me, laughed at me and then did a terrible job on my nails!!!!!!!!! I attached the Pinterest image I showed her and the image of the actual nails...
Read moreGel X nails well done and lasted forever.
Edit: Got Gel X one more time with no problem. Next time a nail comes off. Last week 3 nails come off in less than a week. I caught two nails trying to come off so got them "fixed" before going out of town. Another nail comes off while out of town. Go in today to get it fixed. They talk me into hard gel instead. The photos are the result. Nails uneven, different sizes. One tip is dull. 😑 Meanwhile the nail artist told me she knows how ro do her job. Then they wanted me to pay for the redo after the first time didn't last a week. 🤦🏾♀️ Full transparency: after this hack job, she offered for someone Else to fix it . Another 5 minutes. At this point it was 8pm. Then she offered Saturday for pay. Then Saturday for free. Tried to blame it on me because I didn't yelped when she filed the skin on one nail and almost cut me. Left residue on my...
