Rubio's Coastal Grill — Restaurant in San Diego

This location(Mission Bay) Rubio is very small parking lot and inside the restaurant as well. when you order food and at lunch time there are some people can not even get inside for the line to order. It’s very tiny indoor eating area against the windows but the some people are waiting for the order right next to you and too narrow.

There’s outside eating area covered (it’s out side the tiny building) but those area for salsa sauce, actually I see some flies there. So I don’t think it’s very clean.

The fish taco I ordered is little watery compared to the other locations.

Just because so many customers are waiting I wanted to go to the restroom and the woman employee is very unfriendly didn’t want to tell me the restroom code she even though was sitting by the restroom and it’s just because she’s mean. Other staff are too busy to making the foods for those line. Who I suppose to ask if everyone is busy there?! Be friendly to your customers. I would not go back to this location...

Nica the large and loud manager likes to holler order numbers out across this closet sized establishment. She also is very good at rolling her eyes and making it apparent you are annoying her when you interrupt her yelling to ask for a salsa. She will cut you off fill the lil cup with the wrong salsa cause she didn't have time to listen to you. Then slam it down on the counter hard enough for it to splatter on the counter. She then yelled at us for making a mess with the salsa???? Can't make this stuff up people. She preceeded to follow us out to our car harassing and yep you guessed it yelling at us. The kid behind the registered looked embarrassed but not surprised by her behavior. He tried to make up for her lack of customer service and was very professional. Food was ok. It was rubios no better no worse. Won't return to this...

My wife and I was on vacation just a couple of days ago and came across this place which was close to where we were staying at our Airbnb like a mile away from this place. Norma was great from the beginning I told her I had never been there before and she took her time with me and explained everything to me as far how everything tasted in her opinion she did a great job!! Also Isabel was nice as well she took our picture outside at the end before we left for the night. It was taco Tuesday when we came there so the tacos were on special!! I had one mahi mahi taco, one original fish taco and a beef taco all of them were really good!! I forgot what my wife had she had 3 tacos as well the bill was like $30 with 2 sodas with that. When we are back in San Diego we will definitely come...
