Fantastic food with outdoor seating right next to Seaport village. Beautiful spot to sit and enjoy the amazing San Diego weather while engaging in thy devouring of delicious foods.

First off: I meant to post this review months ago but have been so busy and just came across the photos so please excuse anything I may have forgot.

Service: The Host, the person who served our drinks and our waiter were all extremely kind. Our waiter was super knowledgeable of the menu and knew everything off the top of his head and was a huge help in selecting our meal. He was a very kind gentlemen.

Food: Unfortunately when we came here we were not in the mood for seafood (I know... who goes to a fish house and doesn't get fish....? Me I guess!) but we have had fish from here in the past and it was great.

-For appetizers, I had the jumbo shrimp cocktail which was full of huge shrimp and delicious cocktail sauce and my fiancee opted for the Pull-A-Part sourdough rolls which were also very tasty.

-For entree, I went with the grilled Angus ribeye steak au poivre which was a delicious very rich steak topped with truffle fries as it sat in a delicious wild mushroom sauce. Very tasty indeed! The steak was very rich and cooked perfectly and the truffle fries that set atop we're perfectly crisped and had the right amount of truffle. Sometimes if there's too much truffle flavor I do not like it and this one did not disappoint me at all.

And for the lady she went with the Grass-fed beef Burger w/ fries which she said was also very satisfying and hit the spot for what she was craving.

Ambience: a beautiful place to sit right next to the port where you can view water w/ plenty of really nice boats, people walking up and down the sidewalk towards seaport village or convention center and all this while enjoying some of the most beautiful skies that San Diego has to offer. I highly recommend going during sunset if possible because the sky can be beautiful at that time if you have light clouds draped across the sky.

Overall this was a most excellent place to enjoy a delicious meal and be treated by some excellent employees whom all seem to appreciate the job they have and seem to enjoy the work they do which is real nice. It's can be hard to find great service nowadays and this place does not disappoint. Great service, great food and great views. I...

I was so excited to try Sally’s as we were visiting for the day and I researched places on the waterfront for a drink and potentially lunch. This fit the bill. Although we ended up eating earlier, we had our tour bike driver drop us here for a drink before we had to go. One person in our party was hungry and wanted to have a sandwich. As we approached the hostess desk there was a young lady standing there. Expressionless. Looking past us. Never making eye contact. We asked for a table for four on the patio in the shade for cocktails. They were not busy, at all. She mumbled something about having to get our drinks ourselves at the bar and we would have to sit on the lower patio beyond the plexiglass wall, which was not shaded. She said someone could put up an umbrella for us. We asked for a table in the shade, where there was plenty of room. My friend walked up and we explained to him what was going on. He said he was going to eat. She said everyone needed to order food! Again, without even making eye contact or giving any expression at all, she said fine, grabbed two menus and proceeded to walk to a table in the shade and walked away. What a horrible first impression! I took one star off for this behavior, but otherwise, the drinks were fabulous, the chicken sandwich my friend ordered was delicious and the atmosphere was stunning. Oh, and our server was very m friendly and efficient. Our bill came to $84 for three cocktails and a chicken sandwich. Charging $2.00 for ice in a margarita on the rocks! It was $19 for the San Diego Sunset alone! For those prices, I expect a warm, friendly greeting and to be able to sit wherever I want! Not be treated so horribly! It’s amazing how one person can change your entire experience. Although we didn’t let it ruin our day, it justified the hostess being called out. I so wish I would have hotter her name. I had to use the restroom and was afraid she’d be at the desk! However, a nice welcoming hostess was at the desk instead and assisted me. Management needs to be aware of these types of employees that can make it break your business. I should have perhaps taken off another star for the pricing, but I’m a sucker for...

185 dollar (large) tower shown. We were missing sauces had to ask and the hostess came to the table to verify that it was missing before grabbing another one, like she didnt believe us. Drinks sat empty for 15 to 20 min consistently. Was told the pasta was enough for three people to share as an entree. (See pic.) My father asked for drawn butter to go with crab legs, sat and waited with the crab legs in front of him on the plate for 15 min. Finally asked the bartender and he brought within 1 min. Apps came out after approx 25 min. Entrees came a significant amout of time after and were served several minutes apart, so everyone ate separately. Was not given extra plates for the pasta we were going to share. At this point the waitress had not been seen in over 20 min. Almost no plates were cleared the entire time so we had to try to fit our entrees at the table while all of our appetizer plates and serving dishes remained from the previous course. There were several employees standing around. Definitely not understaffed. When finally asking for a manager he told us that he had just arrived at the restaurant and was told that there was an influx of tables and the kitchen had gotten behind. He offered a free dessert which we declined because we had to get back after being there almost two hours, most of which was spent waiting for one thing or another. Manager brought the check and removed three ice teas and two side salads. Hostesses were giving dirty looks and whispering with hands on hips and shaking heads toward us. waitress came over and sincerely apologized although blaming it only on the kitchen being behind which was not the major problem. She said that the manager had removed some drinks and side salads but that she was also going to add a discount. She did not add a discount. Overall terrible experience. A restaurant with high end prices should have high end or at least...
