I really loved the idea of this place considering it had ALL of my favorite things, Homemade fresh bread, tea and wine! I researched online and read their story and menu. I was excited! I walked in and it was a great place there’s two sides to this restaurant/cafe. I walked in and went to the front to order the lady asked what I would like and I had said I’ve never been before I just needed a moment and she told me everything was baked fresh and let me look, I ordered a tea to go because I had my kiddos with me but she made it in a glass which I was totally fine with I decided to go sit in the corner with my kids. I was excited and taking it all in, so I figured we’d order a snack/appetizer I got up to ask the lady if she had a menu of the wine/food and bread they have she seemed like she did not want to grab it for me she said “ummmm yeah… I’ll go grab it” and so I had asked if I was on the wrong side of the wall to order food and she just said “ummmm… no it’s okay you can order and I’ll just bring it over.” (I would have happily moved to wherever I needed to be but she didn’t say anything) I ordered the bread and butter which was so so yummy! It just seemed as if every time I asked the ladies something they were hesitant to help me like I was a bother. Which was really unfortunate because I have never felt this way entering a place with my children, and have felt like we didn’t belong with the way they looked at us and talked. I wish I could say I’ll be back to try other dishes and maybe it was a bad/off day for everyone but unfortunately I am...

Well whatever they're doing it all tastes good. I have tried a couple of the scones and I believe there is more moisture on Mars. But that's good. They're supposed to be like that. Coffee is dope. They don't have soy but you know my estrogen levels are too high anyways. Christy is the best barista slash baker that has ever walked the Earth. She has a smile that can light up a room and a scowl that says, "Hey I know you're doing a little bit here but there's a line for me and we need to get this show on the road pal." Meg helped me break up with this chick once too. She's awesome. If you got to dump someone do it at Secret Sister!
Anyways. Pretty good 97/100.

Read moreOne of my favorite bakeries closed down (Flour Power), so I began the search for a new bakery that makes custom cakes. I stumbled upon Secret Sister and noticed all the different cake flavors, fillings, and icings. Bingo! Bookmarked and saved for later! Well turns out my husband pleasantly surprised me with a couple of cakes slices and the country sourdough loaf for Mother’s Day. Wowww… the fennel chocolate cake with orange malt vanilla cream cheese was incredible and knocked my socks off. The vanilla chiffon cake with strawberry earl grey jam was just as good, but very subtle and light. After tasting these two cakes slices, it is confirmed that Secret Sister will be making my next custom cake. I typically buy my sourdough loaves from local micro bakeries, but it is nice to know Secret Sister makes an amazing country sourdough. So happy to finally...
