Shoreside Bakery — Restaurant in San Diego

We recently visited Shirtside Bakery, and it was an absolute delight. We enjoyed a delicious slice of cake paired with wonderfully rich coffee, and every detail of the experience was outstanding.

The interior design truly impressed us — elegant, unique, and unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere in the city. The service was exceptional: every staff member greeted us with warm smiles and genuine kindness, making us feel very welcome.

What stood out most of all was the impeccable cleanliness. The tables and chairs were spotless, and the entire space felt fresh and well cared for — something that is, unfortunately, quite rare these days.

My husband and I came for the first day of the soft opening this morning. We got coffees, the breakfast wrap and a loaf of sourdough. We live right in downtown and have been waiting for this bakery to open since they started renovations. We are so excited to have a new spot! The breakfast wrap was one of the best I've had and we already dug into the sourdough (yes we are eating bread at 8 am don't judge!) you can immediately tell this is family owned and they put a lot of love into their work.
