We love Pinch! 🤍 I booked a private class for my boyfriend’s birthday and it was so much fun. Our instructor and her assistant were extremely helpful in giving us a brief introduction to pottery and the throwing wheel. My boyfriend has some experience in pottery so he absolutely killed it, I can’t say the same for myself haha. Nonetheless our instructor consistently insured us to not shoot for perfection as getting familiar with the clay and wheel is simply meant to be fun and an introduction to pottery. She was completely right. Many slightly messy (but fun) mistakes happened, as she predicted, but you just keep on going! Once we cleaned up she gave us information about what our pottery will go through the next couple weeks in regards to cleaning up the pottery, glazing and firing it. We got to choose our colors for the pottery we chose to keep and we were off! A few things I would like to add is that the website and emailed information about your private or communal class is extremely informative, most if not all of your questions can be answered on the FAQ section on their website or in your email when booking. The ladies were also very nice, they even recommended a breakfast spot to go to after which is now our go to spot when we’re near downtown. Overall we will be back and loved our experience with Pinch Pottery Studio. My birthday boy loved it so much he want’s to pick up pottery again and is even looking for a tabletop throwing wheel to start practicing again. Thank you ladies at Pinch for such a memorable time and helping us create little pieces we will remember forever. (My boyfriend made the pink little dish that now houses my cute...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of spending some time at this fantastic pottery studio, and I can't say enough good things about the experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately put me at ease.
The studio is well-equipped with all the tools and materials you could possibly need, and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They guided me through the process with patience and expertise, making it easy for beginners like me to get started.
What truly sets this place apart is the sense of community and atmosphere. I met other pottery enthusiasts during my visit, and we all shared tips and inspiration. It's a wonderful place to connect with like-minded people and learn from each other. The atmosphere was unlike any other pottery studio i've been too.
The studio's kilns produce beautiful, professional-quality results, and I was thrilled with the pieces I created during my visit. Whether you're a novice or an experienced potter, this studio offers something for everyone.
Overall, I had a fantastic time at this pottery studio, and I can't wait to go back. If you're looking for a creative outlet, a welcoming community, and a chance to make beautiful pottery, this is the...
Read moreWe had the best time with Wyeth for our 4 person private pottery lesson!!! She is a wonderful teacher, and a really lovely person to spend time with. We had never thrown before, and she was helping us, answering questions, and cheering us on every step of the way.
Her class is so worth it as the finishing of 1 thrown item is included (the drying, trimming, glazing and firing) and additional ones can also be finished for you for a small charge (at least that was the case for us at this time).
Lastly, the space is so cool! Her studio is gorgeous and has plenty of space. It's great to see other students' works drying on the shelves, and to see the pottery she herself makes and sells. She's really talented!
We also got to see the spaces of other artists working there, and even chatted with Oscar about his sculptural work on display in the halls. I can't wait until the next time we get to go here. Thanks so...
