Downtown partnership is just like another organization, regardless of the profit/nonprofit status. Which is, the company is only as good as the people they employ. With that said, they have good days and bad days. Overall, I love what the company is doing and most of the employees that I met. This post is unlike most of the others, being I'm commenting on the outreach side, not the security or clean-up crew. Even more specifically, Crystal B. This lady is a blessing to the community, both the homeless and those that are not. I've had the pleasure of working with Crystal and watching her work. If every outreach worker had her heart, there wouldn't be a homeless problem, and all you quick to lash out folks would have to find something else to complain about. Walk a mile In a homeless person's shoes and your outlook will change. I say this from experience. I've lived in O'lot. I've lived on the sidewalk and let me say not everyone on the street is a criminal, drug and alcohol-addicted person. They are people. Anyway, Crystal you get 10 stars and you are my Star downtown. In closing, I hope all you judgmental better than folks get to experience what homeless is like. It seems like some homeless people get special consideration, in as never contacted and asked to move. They'll just ride right by them day after day and act like they didn't see them. They are very professional though.
