Very quaint restaurant tucked in the corner of two major streets. Though the setting is quaint, the service did not match. Though there was a low wait time, the service felt overly rushed and impersonable. The rush was so prevalent that there was no greeting, no positive attitude (i.e. tone in voice and facial expressions), no check up, and table clean up was done silently and hurriedly.
In terms of their sushi, sushi "god" is definitely an over statement. While I appreciate the smaller selection of their menu, I would expect the smaller size to be due to specialization and increased quality; however, there was not correlation. The prices are moderate, but the sushi is sub par. Flavor is minimal or overpowered by one particular ingredient, and the flavors they incorporate to each sushi is lost. In the contrary, they do have an excellent sense of plating which was modern and pleasant.
Overall, this will not be a place I will come to again, nor reccomend this place to others given...
Read moreWe ordered in advance during Valentine’s Day . The location is a little inconvenient to drive into, but both crazy- the turn coming from the freeway is easy to confuse and the U-turn you have to make is awkward. The restaurant was pretty empty but it looked clean. The staff was a little cold to us but we received good service. We got to the restaurant and our food still took an extra 10-15 minutes to be ready. The food was good, they use good quality ingredients, the rice was fresh, and overall had a nice flavor. The one, pretty big, complaint I had was- my boyfriend and I ordered one roll each, but for some reason they put them both in one box. We were staying at a hotel so we had to split the box in half and move one roll using our hands (which was hard because of the toppings and sauce). Overall, it’s good and I would eat it again, but not it’s not really that memorable, and I would ask for separate boxes for take out, since it’s not...
Read moreDon't go here. I went in for dinner because Phils BBQ across the street had a line out the door. The wait staff was rude. There was not sign that said wait to be seated. So when I tried to sit at the sushi bar, a very rude waitress who looked barely 20 yrs old said it was closed now. Which I was cool with. I inquired when it was normally open and didnt get and answer. Just more rudeness. Finally a member at the door sat me at a table. I sat there for 5 minutes waiting. I looked at 5 staff members in the eye waiting for service. They were not busy at all. Not even a third full. When they did come I asked for the manager and they couldn't answer me. I told an older lady that seemed to be in charge what happened and she apologized, but I was done. Not going to get served after that. It's really sad, because right across the street you can't even get a seat. I guess thats why this place had no customers. DON'T...
