The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf — Restaurant in San Diego

I used to love this coffee shop, would come here before work. But I think lately they don’t know how to work under pressure. My order took more than 30 mins and I ordered it in advanced (mobile order) because I had a doctors appointment that I didn’t make in time because of the negligence. They were talking, laughing with each other and taking their time with the drinks. Went up to the counter to ask for my MOBILE order and she said “yeah they’re working on it right now.” Then they continued to make 5 more drinks after saying she was working on mine, so I waited for 10 more mins, then asked them again and then they said “oh, sorry let me start making it right now” It shouldn’t take that long to make one beverage. That was supposed to be done 30+ mins ago. Then as they were laughing they said “we will refund you I don’t care about refunding customers”…but I don’t know how if they seemed completely distracted from the fact that I had been waiting for 30+ minutes. Other customers were visibly annoyed as well. They kept promising everyone refunds. Now I’m just thinking about how they are they going refund me and the points that I used to...

I made my online pick up order at 4pm, then come into the coffee shop to wait. There were two baristas but only one worked, during 15 minutes three clients come and order and get drink but mine it was not done yet. I knew the barista would put my drink on the outside table but there were nothing, and I knew they put in-store client ordered on the right side of the bar so I go to the right side of the bar to check. And I found it. Suddenly a blonde hair barista with glasses come to me and say “you cannot come behind the bar”.my whole body was beside the bar but not behind the bar. I tell her I come for my drink which is usually put outside. She say it is not ready (two drinks are ready also with the napkin and straw on them). When I am taking my stuffs. She stares at me angrily and say again “you can not come behind the bar”. That is a well trained barista in coffee bean? Being rude to a client unreasonably? And hide the drinks to let the client to play...

So many times I have gone to a barista and order my Almond latte no sugar and get only a squirt of almond milk or flavoring and it is so disappointing. A good whole milk latte needs no sugar with high quality fresh coffe beans. The coffee gets a slight bite through the milk and is so creamy and smooth. But an Almond latte would take a full more expensive Alomnd milk with just the right combination to get that same result. Only the most talented Barista can do it. Today I got the most fantastic cold coffee latte made with real almond milk. Best Almond Latte I have ever hand in my life, made by Janay.
