After a hot day out in the coastline of San Diego, I was dying for a good chilled drink and Yelp pointed to a relatively new spot for Boba tea! I'm going to be honest, I thought all boba teas in SD were out in Kearny Mesa and suburbs. So to find a spot here near Point Loma... bonus!
Finding this spot wasn't the easiest from the car as the signage wasn't truly popping but it's the corner store. I will say the atmosphere is cute... adorable... kawaii even. I love the Harry Potter platform 9 3/4 bathroom. It's clean, pristine, open, and has comfy seating. It's not a massive spot but definitely room for at least 4 groups. I didn't stay too long but when I was here, only 2 tables were taken and it's a nice serene spot.
In terms of boba tea cost, I'm used to things being expensive up here in Toronto so this didn't seem outrageous (except for the exchange.. eff Canadian rate). They had your usual fare of fruit based green and black teas with or without milk. They also had some of the newer trender floral ones too. I asked for their most popular or favourite and Rose was the one suggested. The teas were made quickly and within minutes we had our drinks.
Rose black milk tea with boba - I asked for half sweet and it had the perfect amount of sweetness to compliment the light rose flavour. The boba were good as they werent hard or mushy. Just the right amount of chewiness. I liked how the tea flavour came through as well. Definitely not watered down. 4/5
Berry black milk tea with boba - Another solid option here. This one was more berry sweet than the rose with the fruit flavour being stronger. The tea flavour was more muted but still was there. Like the rose, the boba was just the right texture 4/5
For those who were vacationing and doesnt have an easy way to get their boba fix by driving out (or ubering) out east to Kearny Mesa, this is a nice little place that gets...

Iāve never had boba but I gave it a try and it was STUNNING. The ladies there are absolute sweethearts and helped us out, explaining what everything was. (We visited this place twice in 24 hours)⦠Itās so small and kinda hidden but itās a gem! Would definitely stop there again when in CA.

No bathroom for guests, no outside food(but they dont sell sandwiches or anything other than vegan fruit bowl things, and with kids that made it hard since they were hungry so I had to take our drinks down the street to the taco place which was awesome btw) NOT a place to bring kids at all they have so many things that you cant touch in the store. You really feel like you aren't welcome based on the warnings and do not...
