Food: The menu was shockingly limited. We came for lunch and were disappointed to find only a handful of sandwiches available. If they had been excellent, it might have been forgivable--but that wasn't the case.

We ordered the Jardiniere, and it was borderline inedible. The overwhelming taste was straight vinegar, the kind that makes your jaw clench from the acidity. It lacked balance, nuance, or even basic palatability. Honestly, a store-bought jar of giardiniera would have been more enjoyable.

The Prime Rib Sandwich was equally underwhelming. It consisted of a few limp, unseasoned, greasy slices of beef topped with a smear of horseradish. Any random deli in San Diego could make a better sandwich.

Service: We chose to sit on the patio with our small dog, who was quietly sitting on the bench next to us. A staff member--possibly the manager--stormed over and, in a harsh and unnecessary tone, pointed at us and told us, "You need to get your dog off the bench now." We apologized and complied immediately, but soon noticed that another table, occupied by a white couple, had their dog on the bench without issue. We approached the same woman to ask if the rule applied to everyone. Only then did she, in a much gentler tone, go over and politely ask the other table to bring their dog down. The inconsistency in treatment felt too blatant to ignore.

TL;DR: a visually charming spot with a limited menu of disappointing food and...

Let me start by saying the restaurant itself is absolutely adorable. However, the service here is S-L-O-W. My girlfriends and I went in this morning (a Saturday) around 9:30am. I actually notated to my friends how slow it was in there for a weekend, as SD people are all about weekend breakfast/brunch. With that being said, we ordered a latte and our breakfast. The latte itself probably took about 20 minutes to come out. As for the food, there were 3 of us dining and they all came out at different times. First the pop tart came out about 40 minutes after ordering, we inquired about the other dishes and then the Sweet Potato Hash came out another 20-25 minutes later, but still no third dish… Again we inquired with who I believe was the manager and she told us no other dishes were put in for our table and asked if we still wanted it, uhm yes we all planned to eat. She ended up taking someone else’s order to give to us, as she specifically notated we had been waiting a very long time.

All the food was decent, but nothing I’d come back for. I hope they get their service together because this place has potential. But definitely don’t stop by anytime soon if you’re on a...

pretty disappointing, the service was severely lacking! manager is rude and staff isn’t helpful whatsoever.

we ordered a coffee, matcha, and toast bread + cream cheese at the counter. we got our drinks in a few minutes, coffee was good but matcha was pretty bad.

we were told by the woman taking our order that we could dine in. when we sat down, the manager? came and told us we couldn’t sit and it was only for people dining in. we explained the situation and she reiterated that we couldn’t sit there. we said okay we’ll move. she said no that’s fine but for next time you can’t sit here. she was pretty aggressive with us.

after 15 minutes, we didn’t get the food and we asked. they said they’re making it. after 10 more minutes, i asked the manager and she said yeah well you’re not supposed to eat in here which is why the chefs probably got confused. the staff told us we could sit anywhere and it took 30 minutes to get two slices of burnt bread.

place really has so much potential but the hostile manager needs to tone it down. they should also explain their situation for take out/dining and not take it out...

Great place for date night or family night, really incredible ambiance and vibe. The food is great, and the branding is pretty cool - you'll know what I mean when you go. Great mediterranean food with a hearty twist. They just opened up recently. I had the kale salad and chicken, tasted fresh but also flavorful. Sauce was really unique and delicious. My wife and I split the panna cotta at the end, I'm normally not a dessert guy but we decided to splurge... nor do I really write reviews but this place deserved it! Will go again for coffee soon because I hear Provecho is awesome.
