Have you been to @libertypublicmarket lately? We hadn't been in awhile and there are so many new places! One new place that stands out is a new Mediterranean Grill, @kebabcraft , located in a nice big space in a corner that has some seating!
What's cool about Kebab Craft is they have bowls, plates, and pita that you can customize with choice of meat and sauces. But they also have some modern chef creations as well like the Cali Kebab, which is a wrap with fries like a California Burrito. We got this with gyro meat and creamy cilantro & garlic sauces, and it was so good!
We also got their Loaded Pita Chips with shawarma. They fry the pita chips fresh right there, and top them with feta, shredded blend of cheese, onions & tomatoes and we chose tsaziki & harissa sauces for this one. We loved this! It's a really big portion so it's great for sharing. We were pretty full from sharing the wrap so we brought this home, and the pita chips retained their crunch! It was good when we tried it freshly made and still hot, but it's also good cold and didn't get soggy from the sauces.
We can't forget to mention- they have Moroccan Mint iced tea that you can get sweetened or unsweetened, and it's so refreshing. We got it unsweet to balance the sweetness from the delicious baklava. We also got a slice of their baklava cheesecake and omg 𤤠this was so good! Crunchy phyllo top with a cinnamon swirl in the creamy cheesecake š¤š...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame here after reading the awesome reviews. Greeted quickly, order taken accurately, and that is where the excellence ended. I got a drink of Japanese cherry blossom tea- Ug- it was not cherry nor tea flavored, in fact it tasted what I would think dishwasher taste like. I ordered a pita with sharwma chicken all the way. It looked good, but really didnāt have much flavor at all. There was a good bit of the mostly flavorless chicken on it, but not what I would consider appropriate for the price. My daughter had a bowl with rice, gyro meat, and lots of toppings. She was also not impressed. We had been to Cava the day before, and this was like the complete opposite of Cava. Her tea was also mostly water flavor.
We got a piece of Baklava for dessert- it is our favorite- and one bite and I was done. This was without question the WORST baklava I have ever had. The pastry was soggy, not a piece for crisp or crunch at all. No honey, blech! The nuts used were pistachio which I have had before, but they have never so soggy that they had the consistency of boiled peanuts. Literally one bite and I was done. My daughter too. Our āmealā was $42- and was barely palatable. There is no way I would ever give this place another shot. In 5 days of eating every meal out in SoCal- this won the award...

Whether you're in the mood for juicy kebabs, fragrant rice dishes, or savory stews, you're sure to find something that will tantalize your taste buds. I personally recommend the chicken Chawama, which comes with a generous serving of succulent, slow-cooked lamb served alongside fluffy rice, juicy tomatoes, and a tangy yogurt sauce. It's the perfect balance of flavors and textures, and a true delight...
