Update to my review from 2 years ago.

For over twenty five years, I've made it a point to support small businesses in my community, including the Mini Donut Company at Liberty Station. It has become a cherished routine and a small pleasure I look forward to. However, today’s visit was unexpectedly different. I was met with an embarrassing and frankly insulting demand to “prove” my identity before picking up my order.

For those familiar with parking near the Public Market, you can understand that I was fortunate to find an open 1-hour parking spot. I left my phone and wallet in the car, anticipating a quick run-in and run-out, as I usually do. Additionally, I was dressed professionally for work, so there was no confusion about my being a paying customer.

The implication was clear: I was being treated as if I were some random, untrustworthy individual—possibly a homeless person lurking to steal three dozen donuts. This experience was deeply upsetting and completely out of character for my past interactions at this establishment. Being questioned about my identity after years of patronage was not only humiliating but also felt discriminatory.

I also want to thank the employee who answered the call and clearly did not relay my message to Matt, the owner, to discuss my experience.

TWO YEARS AGO - The absolute cutest, freshest and perfect treat! Consistent...

First time ordering for this place, this was a friend recommendation for my kid birthday party. I send emails to Matt, asking him question and telling him what I want for my special day, I order 32 donuts, and I ask for the green colors and a sugar purple donut as we talked about it , I even explain that it was for my kids Minecraft birthday party , and I mentioned that I just need it with the Minecraft colors ,I send a friend to pick up the donuts and she didn't check them at the donuts place and They everything except what I expect it to be. If the person that I email explain to me better how to order or if they need it more details about the way that I want it, But I just need it to be green sprinkle or just green as I mention in the email a couple times, just MINECRAFT color, not grazed . Money was not and issue as I mentioned. I just need it someone to guide me in how to order as I mentioned twice, my first time and I just want to know how does it works because it’s was confusing that is why I email you, thinking that you could be sympathetic with a first time customer. 32 or 36 donuts don’t make the difference it was not the point of the 36 donuts were not what I need it. I change my mind in the review you have horrible...

I ordered my donuts online and went to go pick them up. I was really excited about these little mini donuts. When I stepped up to the counter there were two men behind the counter one was putting frosting on donuts the other was standing around just not really doing anything and it took them several minutes to acknowledge my presence. I know they saw me they just chose to ignore me. I gave them my name they handed me my order and I left. I was very very unimpressed by the donuts. As expensive as a full size donut, but literally bite-sized. They honestly tasted like hostess little donuts with frosting on them. They didn't taste fresh. I love donuts. But these just weren't it. I will not be spending any more money at...

I would have liked to rate this place higher because the donuts are really cute and it’s aesthetically pleasing but the donuts themself were mediocre at best. Definitely more value for your buck at a traditional donut place. The staff at the counter was not that kind. I expect to be treated kindly when I am kind and paying for a service, and that wasn’t the case. When we asked her questions, she seemed annoyed one of the questions was, if she could separate the donuts that are the same so they won’t be together for the pictures we were going to take and she didn’t oblige or acknowledge the request which I don’t understand. All the bases are pretty much the same and the tops are what make the taste differ.
