We went to Amici’s following a game at AT&T tonight, late evening. We ordered a half-order of breadsticks, a small order of penne pasta marinara, and a small margherita pizza. The bread sticks were served with ranch, surprisingly, in parallel with the couple seated across from us who ordered an appetizer of chicken wings. We both remarked that the breadsticks would’ve been considerably better if served with marinara. When the food was to arrive, however, a second server placed our pizza on the other couples’ table in error. My wife joked that our meal had been served to them by mistake. Subsequently, the two servers realized the mistake, after looking at the various tabs, and the original server took the pizza, which by the time had sat on the table of the other diners for some time while they discussed the issue, and placed it on our table with a cursory apology for the mix up. It was a little shocking to everybody, and the other patrons felt compelled to tell us that they had not touched the pizza despite it having been sitting on their table for some time. Then a senior server or manager, pulled our server aside, at which time she offered to remake the dish. But that was after it had already been sitting on our table. By that time, we just wanted to eat and go, as we were very hungry following the game. Never an acknowledgement from the manager, nothing changed on the bill. (It’s 16.50 for a pizza twice served, btw.) In reality, it was not the hugest of errors- mistakes are certainly common, but their inability to manage it with any degree of tact was a problem. The pasta was served well after the comedy of errors with the pizza, at least 5 minutes afterward, and the quality of the food did little to erase the service issues. Approach with caution, even if you...
Read moreI ordered a pizza, salad, and chicken wings at 8:10pm on a Friday. After delivering the wrong order, I sent the delivery person back to get the correct order. They didn’t speak English and couldn’t help inform me if the next steps.
After waiting ~20 minutes and not receiving any word, I called the service number. That person didn’t speak English and couldn’t help.
After finding the number for the satellite kitchen on google, I called and left a voicemail. Someone called me back and said they would correct the issue. I asked for fresh, hot food to be made and for a discount. I was told I would get both.
After another 30 minutes with no updates, I called again. Someone picked up and said the food would be delivered shortly.
The food arrived at 9:50pm. It was cold, soggy pizza, rubbery wings that are tasteless, and a salad that looked like it was packed days ago.
I’d say that this is a failed attempt at food delivery and it has diminished the brand and broken my loyalty. I am no longer a customer if they sacrifice service, quality, my time, and most importantly my trust.
Only have it two stars as they did eventually deliver what I ordered. Even if it was nearly two hours after I ordered it.
Not expecting that refund, although, I think it is the right thing for them to do...
Read moreI'm from the East Coast, so if you have East Coast in the name of your pizzeria then you have a lot to live up to. This place did not disappoint but to put in on par with say New York Pizza would be a stretch. If I could compare it to anything it would be the Brooklyn stye pizza by Dominos. Though better than Dominos by far. One of the rating criteria that I use with take out/delivery restaurants is the amount of time it takes them to deliver and the quality of the food when it arrives. I mean it could be amazing when it comes of the oven but then has to travel for a time to reach the final destination which will take a toll on the food. So with that being said I would say that it got to my place in about 30 minutes and the pizza was still hot, so there is that. Over all, it's a pretty good place when you are in the mood for delivery pizza. I really should go and get a slice at the actual restaurant. I'll put this place on my list. But until then there is this and this...
