Everyone was so nice and wines were amazing. I want to start with that because I don’t think it’s fair for everyone else to share the weight of a bad review. I had an uncomfortable experience with one of the bartenders. My friend’s beer was brought to the table with a fly in it. I was sitting on the outside of the table so offered to ask to swap it. I went up and told the bartender that there was a fly in the beer. It was full and still had the fresh pour foam on top. He asked me what I wanted him to do in a belittling tone. I was like oh can you swap it. He said sorry you’re in an establishment that sometimes gets flies. And I lost my words. I ended up saying ok I’ll take it back but he swapped it. I went to the restroom to cry- probably just from an accumulation of a stressful day which I wanted to end with a glass of wine. He made me feel awful. I typically pluck flies, hair out, whatever if I’m partially through my food or drink but a beer that was just brought to the table? Also I get if we’re sitting outside but we were inside. Ive since racked my brain looking for reasons I upset him. Maybe I should’ve asked the person who brought it over? But he was our original bartender. Did I not smile enough? Did he think I planted it? Was it my outfit? I don’t know. But it left me feeling bad and uncomfortable and it’s not how I care to feel. We went for a pop up dinner. Upon our arrival we were greeted by an unfriendly, verging on rude, hostess who took us to a table outside, when we asked about the possibility of being inside we were told that there is no indoor seating for parties of two - and we were told this in a scolding fashion. There were several empty tables inside for the duration of our meal and one table with a party of two. Fortunately our server was friendly but our food started arriving before our wine and before we had plates or silverware. We ordered two of the same dish and one was served on a ceramic plate but one came on a paper plate.
