OPEN during shelter in place! MUST TRY their meat pies. Think: mouthwatering dumpling filling inside buttery, flaky puff pastry. Also known as "pate chaud," a brilliant Viet-French marriage that goes great with Viet coffee. Made on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Sometimes you can snag one on a different day because if someone puts in a special order, they make some extras. Meat pie/pate chaud is different from their pasties, which are available every day, and also yummy.
Their sweet pastries are great, too! My husband loves their blueberry cake donuts and scones. I'm partial to their apple fritters and chocolate old fashioneds (nice generous icing on those).
I kept asking about blueberry cake donuts and the baker, Ming, started making them regularly for me!! 😄
Need to try: banh mi, chai tea, and chocolate croissants, all highly recommended by other customers. I only discovered this place a month ago but now visit 3-4 times a week. Such kind, hard-working staff and great food. It's a no brainer to support this wonderful...

Friendly service and delicious variety of donuts, savory pastries (meat and curry meat pies are wonderful!), banh mi and beverages.
Came in Saturday afternoon and a fresh tray of warm pâté choux (meat pies) had just been taken out of the oven. The buttery flaky pastry encased a savory well seasoned pork filling. One pie is enough for a light lunch…at $4.50.
We got a combo of six meat and curry pies. The curry pies were amazing! Seasoned perfectly with little peas, these were my favorite.
We also had a tofu and a chicken banh mi. Good sandwiches, made with care and the pickled carrots and radishes were done well. The star of our visit were the pastries. Will be coming back again soon. To try the sweet stuff. It was busy and service was attentive and efficient.
The store is simple, no frills and clean. One table and a counter if you’re waiting for the L and want to stop in for...
Read moreI love to gatekeep all my favorite food places...why because of the long lines once things get popular. However, seeing this delicious place being someone empty in the early afternoon breaks my heart when their FOOD IS SO GOOD. So here I am writing a review
If you're looking for an authentic and affordable Vietnamese experience without driving into SF, this charming mom-and-pop shop is thenplace to go and such a gem. Their combo bánh mì is the star of the menu....in my opinion —packed with flavor and generously portioned, and price is cheaper than all the surrounding areas. Pair it with their Vietnamese coffee, which is impressively strong and authentic, and you've got a perfect meal. The quality, value, and authenticity make this spot a must-try for anyone in the area. Highly...
