Had a bad experience here being served incorrectly and no apologies for it. I came to order a Turkish coffee and food, and when my coffee was served, it was just black coffee in a to go cup. I was confused and then saw another person ordered Turkish Coffee and it was plated correctly. When I went to ask, the barista made the excuse that she served it that way because of a water issue, even though she served the other person after me correctly. But when we asked if we could have it served the way the other person was, she had an attitude and then brought out the correct plate. She didnât even apologize and told me to just dump my coffee in the pot. When I looked at the plate, itâs served with the sugar cubes, that she didnât even offer in the beginning, and the pot that you are supposed to pour into a smaller cup. I then noticed that everyone around us had their food plated but ours was just tossed in a paper bag. At this point, given the attitude and my coffee not being correct, it was hard to enjoy the atmosphere.
This coffee isnât cheap, so if this is the type of service they provide, I recommend just going to Haraz Coffee House for better service and...
Read moreIn short : Went to Delah coffee for traditional Turkish coffee experience and left with disappointment.
We ordered Turkish coffee at Delah coffee and to our surprise it was very hot, bland and served in a to go cup. So we had to add some artificial sweetener to make it taste slightly better.
Then we noticed the table next to us ordered the same thing but got the coffee in the traditional Turkish plates .
We ended up asking the waitress on why we didnât get it that way and she seemed unbothered and unapologetic.
Later on when I insisted that we wanted to try it the authentic way, she just blindly poured the coffee into the container and gave it to us. But traditionally the flavor is supposed to be savoured with the sugar cubes and the small cups when itâs hot, but our coffee was already cold and with artificial sweeteners in it. So we just left.
What bothers me is the that the employees didnât even feel slightly sorry for their mistake despite the fact that the customers literally approach and ask them why itâs not served the way itâs supposed...
Read moreNestled on a quiet corner in the Financial District sits Delah Coffee, a cozy little café that beats the odds of surviving in an area dense with corporate coffee chains. But with friendly service, excellent drinks, and fresh pastry options, Delah has won over the hearts and palates of nearby office workers.
The moment you step inside the aroma envelops you - rich, robust coffee mingling with notes of vanilla and cinnamon. The décor is simple but homey, with brick walls, vintage signs, and stained wood counters. Upbeat indie music plays at just the right volume for an energetic yet intimate vibe.
The baristas here are skilled, taking the time to make each pour-over, latte, and espresso with care. Iâm partial to their vanilla latte, which has the perfect balance of espresso, steamed milk, and flavor. Beyond the usual suspects, they also offer seasonal drink specials like maple lattes and holiday...
