I had a huge craving for pasta, so my dad and I decided to dine here.
We didn't have reservations, but we were able to get a table right away in the patio. The patio is a cute area and I would use it as an event space for a special occasion.
I ordered the chitarra pomodoro, which is basically spaghetti in a marinara sauce, but the noodles are made to hold the sauce better. My dad ordered the baked paccheri, which is a beef and pork ragu with spinach in a marinara and bechamel sauce.
We were wowed by the pastas! I don't even eat beef, but that baked paccheri is almost close to bringing me back to red meat. And the chitarra pomodoro has flakes of yummy garlic, and the noodles were perfectly al dente.
My dad couldn't stop staring at the table across from us because they ordered pizza. With a Thor-like gusto, I exclaimed that we too shall get pizza.
We ordered the burrata pie, and our waitress cut the soft burrata and spread it around the pie. And it was so good, especially with their hot pepper flakes. Which is really spicy so definitely go easy.
Did we regret the pizza? No. Should we have not eaten the whole pie? Yes. I knew that the pasta I ate would expand in my stomach, but I can't say no to pizza. So the pasta entrees do look small, but they are very filling.
We dined here during the crazy thunderstorms, so the canvas that was covering the patio couldn't hold up the water, and one of the tables got wet. And the hallway that leads into the restaurant got slightly flooded. Otherwise, on a normal night, it would be fine to dine outside during dinner, even on a cold night.
I recommend coming here for dinner, and would gladly come back for that...
Read moreWas here to have dinner with a group of friends. What a wonderful evening. First, lovely restaurant. We sat in the back and it was cozy and comfortable. The service here was fantastic. Everyone was welcoming and we felt very well taken care of. One of our group overturned a glass of wine and they were there immediately and helped clean up. The food. The food. Everything was delicious. Well, almost. One single dish was not. But I'm not going to dwell on it because everything else was so good, I will have to give them a pass on this. They earned it. Every dish was better than the last. What was so good? Nonna's tasty meatballs in a perfect marinara. Followed by these delicious creamy, cheesy rice balls. A beautiful and delicious salad with seed and nut croccante and a creamy avocado Italian dressing. Followed by rigatoni al bolognese - just wow! Then the pies. Burrata, fresh basil and a mouth full of creamy deliciousness. That was good but the marinated pepper pie! I'm kissing my fingertips. Lovely italian wines throughout and finish with a fruit crisp and a chocolate mousse. It was too much food but no one could stop. It was just that good. (I left out the one dish I did not like but remember, I'm giving them a pass because everything else was sooooo good. Every now and then you get a memorable experience where everything is just so good. The company, the setting, the food, the wine, the service. We had that tonight at Fiorella on Clement. Just...
Read moreCame for an event. Their restaurant isn’t too big. Walked all the way to the end and to the back. The set up was just their tables all together. It was cold at night so they had all the heaters turned on. We had alcohol included for 2 hours. Server was very attentive and refilled our drink the entire night.
Baby lettuce: could use a bit more sauce. I personally don’t like edible flower pedals in my salad. It’s pretty but random.
Meatball: my favorite dish! The meatballs were a good size and the sauce was 10/10!
Burrata pie: they placed a pizza stand in the middle of the table and then placed the pizza on top. It was not cut. So we had to remove the stand to cut it and spread the mozzarella then cut. They want you to experience the spreading of the cheese. The table was not big enough for us to cut it.
Salsiccia pie: I think this was just okay. The flavor is there but this pizza can get messy. It does come cut though! So that’s a plus!
Rigatoni: I think it could’ve cooked a bit longer. The flavor was delicious though!
Chocolate budino: the salt on top with the nuts made it even better. If you love chocolate, this dessert is for you!
Crumble: i think there could be a bigger scoop of ice cream. It taste better with ice cream in every bite.
Price: it was a bit expensive in my opinion.
Parking: it’ll be a bit of walking. Not easy to find one near...
