One of the worst experiences I've ever had. We were hungry and sat down to order right away.
We waited 40 minutes for our first plate of two skewers, and another 20 minutes for the next plate. The portions were so small and all the dishes were burned char black. You may not notice or care if you were already drunk, but for the sober, this place is horrible.
I thought that the service may be a redeeming factor, but I was wrong. We had a half finished plate of squid at our table with some used skewers on it and another empty plate beside it. The waitress came over and asked if we were done with the plate, and before we could answer, placed the empty plate on top of the squid that we were still eating.
We were so disappointed and disgusted that we decided to get the bill before all our food arrived. While they were ringing us up, we noticed the staff kept whispering and looking over at our table. Lo and behold, they charged us for the food that never arrived, hoping we wouldn't notice.
At the end of the night our bill was $70+ and we still left hungry. The other stone faced patrons all around us should have been a clear warning sign to stay away...
Read moreWanted to try this out after driving by a bunch of times. We weren’t impressed or wow’d by the meal. Came here on a weeknight and the place was empty. Perhaps we were supposed to drink alcohol and enjoy the food better but after a few skewers everything tastes the same. The enoki with bacon and chicken skin was the best skewers in our opinion and the rest (beef, pork belly, tofu) was ok just on the greasy side. The noodle soup was a bit spicy for my friends so I ended up eating most of it. The grilled squid was a bit tough and didn’t have much flavoring. The dumplings were average and the same goes for the the fried egg/crepe thing. We did order another round of chicken skin, bacon-wrapped enoki and pork belly to finish out the dinner. For $148 I think that dinner here at that price is excessive especially...
Read moreThis place is genuinely awful. The service is minimal at best we were barely acknowledged walking in. The service speaks minimal English but was able to excuse themselves from all responsibility by explaining that the incoming crowd of twenty people was a higher priority. We ordered many skewers that were served individually at a ten minute cadence by a silent server. After two hours we were desperate to pay and leave. However it was insisted that we pay for a late dish that was prepared two hours after we were seated. Suddenly the staff wants to speak to us. I've never worked harder to leave a restaurant. Food was scarce at best. Avoid...
