Very glad I chose this local gem for our catch up happy hour. Great wine, accommodating service, and good food!
The bar is tucked away from the Embarcadero noisiness and has a nice outdoor seating area. The view is special: one end is a perfect view of the Bay Bride (kind of like the iconic Dumbo spot in Brooklyn ), and the other is a greenscape of Telegraph Hill. The inside is a nice place to lounge too. We sat outside at the fire pit.
I enjoyed my flight selection of all aged wines a lot. You can choose any wine off their menu for your flight selection. As for food, we loved the shishito peppers, they were fried in this spicy soy sauce we couldn't get enough of. Oysters were fresh and presentation was nice. Read moreWe had a great experience at Indie Wine and Beer Bar (although we only focused on the wine, not the beer). The by the glass selection is phenomenal with an entire list dedicated to unique, older bottles. Truly haven't seen anything like that replicated anywhere else. Usually restaurants and bars that advertise Coravin pours are asking $40+ per glass. Indie had a great selection from $12-$25 and the $25 were great value (20 year old Brunello, 20 year old Chateauneuf-du-Pape).
The food was great and also incredible value. We sat at the counter so we were able to watch all of the food come together. Everything was prepared fresh to order.
Service was fantastic. Everyone was attentive, nice, and knowledgeable about the wine. We will absolutely be back and will definitely be ordering some...

Another one of our party guest goes up to order. That's when I told her I've been waiting to put in an order! When I order the pure leaf tea, she asks if it's the black tea. How the f do I know, the menu has no description. Guess what, there's only one tea on the menu! I didn't tell her that because I didn't know if they had other teas not on the menu. It's like it was her first day on the job! Would it have hurt her to ask, "have you...
