I attended a (4) person birthday party here on 12/19/24. Only the Birthday Girl was or is a member. While waiting for the Battery Member with another Battery Guest, to sit at a dinner table I ordered a Dirty Martini at the Bar, and placed my Chase Visa on the Bar for payment. When I returned from the walk out to my car, I was told the $1,629.37 bottle of Champagne was charged to my Visa Card by accident, and that charge was re assigned to the Members Account who ordered the Champagne. I have never seen the tab and I have asked to see it especially to see if it was signed by who?? Today is 12/31/24! The $1,639.37 charge is still on my Visa Account, allegedly set in a holding pattern because I called in a disputed charge to Chase Visa after getting none of my calls or emails returned. I have had to go through a nightmare because after I called in the fraudulent charges to Chase Visa I realize I needed to call PG&E or contact PG&E contact Marin water contact my yacht Harbour for my boat slip. Contact my AT&T cell and notify them that I am waiting for a new card. The Chase visa gives you a new four digit card on your wallet and your cell phone but they companies need more than the last four numbers they need the new expiration date they need the new card number, etc. etc. so it sets off a series of perpetual phone calls and when Chase visa sent my Visa card my new Visa card to my wrong Sausalito address I had a wait again and just now today is the first time that I’ve actually physically had a new card since 19 December that was on Chase was it down the battery but ever since one week after the not getting phone calls and establishing a disputed charge with Visa with battery because I didn’t get any phone calls return or emails return I finally did get a email returned to me a few days ago and they said this would all be taken care of as of yesterday today is the day after yesterday and no nothing‘s ever been done and I called again. I left message again. No return phone call sent emails again no return emails so it’s still an ongoing nightmare BTW= I never ordered the champagne- I never drank the champagne / I never signed for the champagne. Ps I founded and operated a rather large United Van lines Agency for 30+ years! I know what customer service is all about! This should have been fixed on 12/19/24!!
Ps - nobody returns emails...
Read moreDisappointing to say the least! The only positive thing about The Battery is that the room was pleasent and clean, but one would hope that would be true of any accommodation. Just to dispel any myth, the concept of this place being a members club is amusing to say the least. We arrived and had to bang on the door to get entry as there was no staff, doormen, or even reception staff. The poor guy that checked us in obviously wasn't very familiar with the process and we found ourselves surrounded by drunken guests at the desk while we were trying to get our room key. No one to help with bags and we had to find our own way to the room. We arranged with the front desk to have 3 family members join us for drinks on our first evening only to find that the Rooftop bar closed, Courtyard closed, main bar only had high tables available and so we were told to go to the library bar. when we got there we were asked to leave as they had a party of 6 arriving!! The whole experience was embarrassing and extremely confusing. When I spoke to the manager he reassured me that he would address the problem. No feedback given so I had to contact him and his feedback was that basically it was our fault as we did not find the bar manager and speak to him. Overall, do not expect any service from this place apart from an extremely expensive clean room. I think they are obviously short staffed and very badly managed and totally unprofessional... someone needs to overhaul their concept of guest service! DO NOT be fooled with what's advertised on their website, the reality is much different, stay in the Four Seasons, where you actually get treated like...
