The atmosphere is great. It is warm inside and there are plenty of TV's to watch the game. However, the tables on the side are pretty close together so you will have an obstacle course to get out of you sit there. Also, the customer service could use a little work. Even though the waiters were friendly and answered our questions well, it took a while for the waiter to get to us, the food takes a while to come out, and then our food didn't come out at one point so we were waiting for about 30 minutes on food that we had to reorder. Other than that, this is a place you have to be fast and smart with. This is a place you definitely should enter with an empty stomach because it is All You CAN Eat and if you waste food it is an extra $20. You have 90 minutes to eat, so I recommend ordering most of your things in the first round since they take a while. If you look over the close seating, short time limit, and slow customer service, there is really good fresh and house made food. The meat and veggies are nice and fresh and well prepared, especially the lamb (since it doesn't have the gameness). The soup bases that we tried was really good. The Spicy Miso wasn't too spicy and the Chinese Herb had a lot of flavor. The ramen noodles and Biangbiang (fat noodles) noodles were freshly made there. You could taste the freshness. The biangbiang noodles even tasted good by itself. The dumplings tasted good, but they were small. Also, the pancakes were really good, that is the chive, green onion, and pumpkin ones we tried. The chive and green onion ones are actually the ones that look like pancakes and they are savory. The pumpkin one is more on the sweet side and has red bean in it which makes it a great combination. Also, the fried crab rangoon is great, like the cream cheese and crab things but in...
Read moreHot pot lovers rejoice! IPOT is AYCE dinner good for groups of 4-6. With its huge variety of food items, club/house music, and new decor it is the hip new hot pot place to be.
First: come before 6 - otherwise the tables may be full and you will have to wait a while.
Once you are seated, you have the choice of trying two different pots or a half pot half grill. The menu has probably close to 100 different items- over 10 different types of soups, marinated meats. vegetables, noodles and even dim sum! You are given a dry erase marker and they bring out your orders as you go.
There is a catch though- you are only given 90 minutes to eat to your hearts content. It is quite a fun experience as they have afternoon tea racks and you see them rack it with glorious red meat (and a few seafood items for my friends). The also have a dipping sauce bar where you can customize your sauce!
Food highlights: marbled rib eye, red wine beef, and biang biang noodles on a bamboo loom. I also really liked the milk pudding at the end- very refreshing. [they also ran out of the pudding by 8ish so it is quite popular.
The service is good, but the waiters don't always bring what you order. It also would've been nice if we could tried different broths or switched to the grill at one point. The owner is nice though and has done a great job, I want to come back and try more...
Read moreThe Food Hot pot restaurants are abundant in the area, but few are unique. IPOT seems to have brought a slight twist to create a different experience. IPOT has 3 pot types, the BBQ Pot, the Regular Pot, and the Chafing (split) Pot. My friend and I got the half grill, half soup BBQ pot, and the Regular Pot. We choose Salty Pork Bone w/ Winter Melon and Chinese Herb respectively for the soup base. For the meat, lamb and beef was the popular choice with a bit of pork. I got their BiangBiang Noodle because it seemed to be a must order. We also got a lot of miscellaneous selections from their menu along with some small dishes. The meat was very good, as well as the other ingredients, with good variety. They also have quite the selection for their sauce bar. I would return to this again if I get another hot pot craving.
The Miscellaneous Despite the restaurant being quite big with a good amount of seating, there are long waits at peak hour. But the good thing is they do have a Yelp waitlist, so you can join the line via mobile. The service can slow down during peak hour with limited staff, but the service and staff was not bad. A good variety of selection on their menu for soup, ingredients, appetizers, drinks, and so on. It is not the most expensive hot pot restaurant, but is also not the cheapest. But with the quality and selection, it is a good place...
