This review is so long overdue because it took me the better part of 3 years to wrap my mind around the entirety of the situation we were roped into.
Please do not consider this school if your child is neurodiverse. Any learning disabilities, autism, or ADD/ADHD etc.
Our daughter is high functioning autistic, meaning she is beyond capable of learning. She has been reading since she was 2, and even taught herself sign language during the pandemic! Her needs are more social and emotional. She is not difficult by any means, just needs more support in certain situations (noise cancelling headphones for assemblies that are too loud, reassurance when there are changes in routine and transitioning, etc.) She does not act out, or cause any disruptions whatsoever, she is the exact opposite, and is very kind, respectful, and sweet.
Our daughter thrives in a structured environment, which is what we thought we were going to receive at St. Anne.
We were promised by Mr. White (who was my husband's principal, btw, so we thought maybe he would take us under his wing, especially since my husband, his brother and nephew all went to this school) that there were other children on the spectrum attending the school, and they had multiple resources readily available. This helped to put our minds at ease. We put our trust into this school.
They do not have the resources for these children. The school is so incredibly rigid, to a fault. I witnessed firsthand the mistreatment of my daughter on several different occasions, to which their response, when confronted, was very dismissive.
We ended up having to pull our daughter out, increase her therapies AND her neurologist diagnosed her with PTSD- a 5 year old!
So very disappointed in this principal, Mr. White, front office secretary, kindergarten teacher's aid, and the school as a whole. They should be ashamed of themselves, and be held accountable for lying to parents about having adequate care for these type of children.
