Latin American Club — Restaurant in San Francisco

Along with Kilowatt, Dalva, and a few others, this is one of my all-time favorite Mission bars.

And like most good dive bars, it has a cool vibe, solid bartenders, cheap drinks, unpretentious patrons*, and discretionary hygiene. I have had many great nights here with friends from the 'hood, mostly mid-week staying out late on a school night. This is not a place to have a quiet conversation, the place can get pretty raucous (hey, don't you see the piñatas hanging above as a clue?). One day, I'll find out what's inside those piñatas (I'm sure they're filled with daydreams).

I watched bartenders pocket money with drunk people and also had the same happen to me. My bill was $12 for 2 beers and got back $68 in change, I told the short drunk looking bartender he still owed me $20 but he would not hear it and began to stumble over his words. Eventually it turned into a big argument and ended with my friend and I leaving still shorted and just mad after having a fun night. They need new staff, what happened to the customer is always right. Also outside of that the service is extremely slow and they layout is terrible go maneuver around along with a bathroom that is trashed. Do yourself a favor...

Wow. This place is in the buzzing Mission district in SF. I went there to meet a couple of friends on a pretty empty stomach around 9:30 pm. We decided to order some margaritas and were fortunate enough to manage a table. My god, the margaritas were the Bomb. By the end of my margarita, I was properly buzzed ( aided by my empty stomach) .

Having talked to my friends who live in Mission, this is one of the places where you finish your drinking for the night. Will definitely visit this place whenever I'm in and...
