Did someone say Dim Sum?! Let's meet at New Asia!
I've been told that this place is a bit touristy but I disagree. What sets it apart from most other chinese restaurants that you may find in the area, is that it is HUGE and still fairly clean! It was designed for banquet sized events such as weddings.
This place has TWO levels. When they have tons of people they open up the second floor for customers to sit at and eat.
The food is absolutely delicious! The size of each item is oversized! You know you are getting your money's worth when you come here.
The little old chinese ladies are super friendly when they come by on their carts asking what you want to eat. If you speak canto, they are pretty fun to talk with while they are grabbing a steamer of food for you and stamping your card.
The only unfortunate part of this huge place, is the second floor. If you get there too late and get the boot the second floor, you are in a world of loneliness. They have to turn on the kitchen on the second floor, and re-organize the staff to accommodate both floors. So sometimes, the second floor gets ignored a bit. They won't necessarily pre-make all the stuff already prepared for the first floor. So you'll have to flag someone down to get what you want if you can't find it...

Tables and chairs were set tightly, So, you have to be super careful in trying to sit down without bumping the chair behind you. If you need an attention to order more drink or pay your bill , you must spend sometime looking around or wave or grab anyone attention because they seem to be on some kind of missions, excluding customer satisfaction. We were not sure who was our waiter. The bathrooms too need serious attention concerning cleanliness. Overall, it was ok experience. My preference is for somewhat calmer and organized establishments, with more attentive servers. So, if you wish for a relaxing good time eating dim sum, this is not the place for you. However, if you do not mind the noise and below average service,...

I was just at New Asia for a friend's wedding and -- though I was very happy to share this special day -- I wish I had been equally happy with the food. Instead, it was bland and utterly uninspiring. The McD's of dim sum.
The faded/peeling wallpaper and the soiled napkin originally placed at my table didn't exactly set a charming ambience, either.
Service was decent, sound system was fine.
But -- and true, this isn't the restaurant's fault -- whatever you do, DON'T PARK AT THE LOT HALF A BLOCK DOWN! In big print, I saw "$2 per 30 minutes." Okay, not cheap, but not bad. Imagine my surprise and disgust, then, when I was told "$25". Then I noticed the fine print ("$25 from 4 hours, 1 minute and onwards.") I was parked for 4 hours and 7...
