Nickie's — Restaurant in San Francisco

Looking for a good sports bar in the Lower Haight?!? This may be you're new favorite location! I came here because they have nachos on their menu. (I am on a quest for the best nachos in the city!) I got so much more than nachos! The place is dark with jerseys of local, present and past, sports figures all over the walls. There are flat screen televisions just about everywhere you look. The staff was nice, not overly friendly but nice. Let's get right to the nachos! They were by far, the best bar nachos I've had! Restaurant style tortilla chips, black beans, melted cheddar cheese, diced chicken, pico de gallo salsa, guacamole, and pickled jalapenos. What made them stand out was the chipotle sour cream they had drizzled over the top! Um, hello amazing!

Overall this is a good spot for food with other typical bar choices. The prices were reasonable and the draft beer selection was decent. #GoogleCityExpert...

We came here after a show at 10pm, absolutely ravenous and looking for something substantial. The bartender seemed annoyed when we walked in that we wanted to order food, even though the kitchen was still open. We were not offered a table and sat at the bar. It took a long time for them to come out with the food, and it was not very good. My friends/boyfriend ordered burgers and they were mushy and wet and honestly just barely edible according to them. One of my friends only ate 2 bites of her burger and couldn't finish it. Then 30 minutes later my boyfriend got a very severe case of food poisoning that couldn't have come from any other food we ate that day, since we hadn't eaten in 7 hours. A friend of mine and I were out last night trying to get into the holiday spirit, and that brought us here to Nickies. It felt like we were transported back to 1950. It was very clear we were not welcomed at all. The waitress and bar tender treated us horrible. Helping us last night, you can tell we were not welcomed or wanted in this establishment.
