I recently tried the Pad See Ew at this restaurant, and while the texture of the dish was spot on, the flavor was a complete miss for me. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the chicken was soft and delicious. The vegetables were a bit on the hard side but still edible. However, my biggest issue was the taste. I was expecting the usual slightly sweet, well-balanced flavor, but instead, this version had an overwhelming smoky, charbroiled taste. It was nothing like any Pad See Ew I’ve ever had before. While I ate it, it wasn’t what I wanted or expected. If I were to dine here again, I’d definitely order something else.

Solid, reliable restaurant to meet any Thai food cravings you may have. Tasty dishes, with pumpkin curry, pad see ew, and chan pad poo (not what it sounds like--these are yummy noodles with crab!) among my very favorites. Probably the "worst" thing about this place is the spice that gets into your nostrils as you walk in, as the kitchen is literally by the door. I have never ordered to go, so that may be a different experience, but all the experiences I have had here are positive ones.

I started buying from this place because at their other location on Larkin Street, the food is really good. I decided to give this location a try, I’ve eaten here before and also ordered take-out. But this last time was very disappointing. The order was not prepared the way I asked, and the portion size was really small. Honestly, very poor quality. They’re losing it. I won’t be coming back.

I never feel compelled to review but my terrible experience at this location made me feel like venting. my dinner attempt here showed me possible unprecedented new lows in the food industry I did not know about. The carelessness and sloppiness was very evident at 930 pm on Wednesday / the waiter is rude and not accommodating to say the least and most probably at his wits end anticipating to leave.as he put minimal effort into me ordering he got me the wrong noodles I pointed at the menu for him because there is no more numbers on their menu and sure as hell I can’t pronounce the Thai names so it was the silver noodles the third by order from the noodles section. Of course he argued with me and told me that is what I said and I told him iI said nothing I just pointed at the menu item. The waiter reluctantly took the plate back and the cook grumbled in non English and gave me Protesting looks and nervous body language, then a waitress brought me my plate and I wish I took a photo of what I was served in a mush like noodles in undercooked scrambled eggs and it sure looked sick as everyone involved looked away and avoided eye contact( as one of the cooks hit his vape pen under the hood ) , I took a bite and it was matching the gross looks of the food . I ORDERED THIS DISH MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE AND THIS IS A REVENGE NO LESS. I got up and walked out the waiter had the moral authority to come after me and ask me for money and to talk to the manager and I thought wow this zoo is actually managed??? I reached in my pocket and gave him cash and small tip and told him ; GROSS! Tell that to your manager. Never again...

This used to be my favorite Thai restaurant in SF but unfortunately, the quality of food has declined over the years. Pad Graw-Praw, one of my favorite dishes, became reliably bland, so I stopped ordering it. I haven't eaten there in at least a year but I decided to treat myself tonight - a big deal, because I've been cooking all my meals at home for the past year to save money. I ordered the Pumpkin Curry, and the Larb with ground chicken. When I picked up the order it smelled bad but I thought it might just be the cabbage in the Larb. Sadly, the dish wasn't very good, either. The level of spiciness was great but as a whole, the dish was too salty or too tangy, I can't pinpoint it exactly. Then I moved on to the Pumpkin Curry, which used to be my favorite dish, and instead of being its usual glorious self, it tasted too salty and/or tangy, as well. So that's over $30 down the drain. I'm disappointed, House of Thai 2. I doubt I'll ever eat...

While there was only 1 server on a seemingly busy night (seated clients + LOTS of door dash pickups) taking orders and serving food for everyone, I still had a very positive experience. While you shouldn't expect extravagant atmosphere or Michelin star service here, this place has some of the best authentic Thai food in the area. Tonight I ordered the HOT appetizer taster plate (egg rolls, fried tofu, fish cakes, chicken puffs, cucumber salad), crab fried rice, and shrimp pad Thai. The dishes are fairly priced for the portions and the food is absolutely delicious! Well done to everyone who works to make this place run. I'll be...
