What a great addition to the neighborhood... Perfect little spot to grab some chow or some brew to wake you up. Gave this place a try for lunch and tried their tuna melt. I like their take on the tuna melt. It's light, the bread is crunchy and soft , the salad is a nice add on to compliment the dish. I like the decor, the vibe is very chill and kicked back with a touch of modern. The staff aka the owners are super sweet with a ton of attention to details. Well done this will be my new lunch place when I get to step away from my desk.

So excited to have a new cafe in the old Cafe St Jorge spot!! Tea Rex is super cute, great food, lovely people behind the counter, and overall an awesome addition to the neighborhood. They serve breakfast and lunch, and change the menu frequently to offer what’s in season. The couple that started it are often here, and also own Cafe RX in the nonprofit building in the Presidio!

Came here first with my mom and sister for brunch and had the niçoise salad and a nutella cragel (croissant bagel) and had a gorgeous cup of rose tea that was brewed perfectly. I’m back today and had the chef salad with avocado and chicken and it...

So glad this former spot has reopened and remained a coffee shop! The food and coffee are delicious - they have a variety of teas and your usual coffee options. We tried the lox special on a bagel and on a cragel - both were tasty and super filling. The coffees were also tasty. You can also buy loose leaf teas to bring home.

Customer service was great and we felt really taken care of! They took the time to explain their menu since it was our first time there.

The atmosphere is also very warm, friendly, and comfortable. I loved the amount of plants and the overall decor.

We'll be back soon! What a cute...

Tea Rex Cafe is a gem in my neighborhood. I had the chicken quesadilla is my favorite dish to get here. It was so filling - crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. My husband ordered the breakfast quesadilla with crab meat, and wow — it was loaded with egg, crab, and avocado. It's hard to finish everything. We also had the shakerato, which was very refreshing and gave me a caffeine hit (and actually not too sweet).
