I stumbled into this homey little neighborhood bistro a few years ago while looking for a place to get a beer before a show at the Civic. I found the perfect place to get a good beer and even better food. The servers are very pleasant and even called ahead, without me asking, to make sure a local brewery would still be open before I stopped by when they overheard me mention I was concerned. The Bartender was really rude to my samba leader of the batería. He was kind of tired and dozed off on the table for a little time. It was like 3:15 pm. We had late lunch and a drink. Amazing food. I have celiac disease and never eat at restaurants because I don't want to take any chances. But my husband and I had gotten off the plane in San Francisco and we were very hungry so I took a chance with this restaurant.
