This is a SRO weekly hotel that you can rent weekly. There is an option to rent by the year but you will have to pay a high deposit and sign a lease.
This hotel is NOT recommended for business or leisure visits. Single persons or couples only. Rates vary upon single or double occupancy. No children.
YOU CAN NOT STAY BEYOND 30 DAYS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A LEASE. You must leave for 2 or more days and then go back if you want to stay longer if there's availability.
YOU CAN NOT RECEIVE MAIL OR HAVE VISITORS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A LEASE.
The rooms are small and the furniture is from wherever it was recycled from be it a thrift store or sidewalk it seems. (I purchased bed risers for the bed that I was in as it was a bunk bed type mattress with no boxspring on a frame.) The building is old and there are communal restrooms, shower areas, and laundry room with one washer and dryer. There is no cable only over the air channels and the Wi-fi doesn't work. The cleaning lady/staff does just enough to get paid so take your own cleaning supplies because you will need them. THE BUILDING IS INFESTED WITH BED BUGS. No matter what you do or use, you will not be able to keep them from becoming a problem. You may be able to go a few hours without being bit but by the time you leave, there will be the probability that they have eaten your ass up and are in your luggage ready to go with you to your next destination regardless of how much you spray or anything else.
While the residents were very nice and the building was quite for the most part, management is peculiar. Robert (co-manager) yells at the least little thing and please do not have an issue. It will drive him mad it seems which causes more yelling. Sufyan (manager) micromanages and will be at your door reminding you that the rent is due days in advance and WILL NOT refund any deposit if anything is missing from the room (remote, linen, etc).
The asking rent and deposit is too high for what you endure and the only good things about my experience were that I met some great people and gained a valuable lesson about weekly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn site management made me feel very unwelcome very picked on and very rude to say the least created chaos and disruptions with me out of nothing and for no aperent reason. Lastly locked Me out of my room blamed the owner saying she was the one who did it. Because my voucher wasn't there but oh she had it the whole time he just made something out of nothing just cause very sloppy and unprofessional and would scream at the top of hit lungs at me childlike mentally and I feel the owner should replace him the whole atmosphere would be so much more relaxed and would of been an enjoyable time spent there. Sad hes gunna cost her in the long run. He's not fit for that position if anyone thinks about staying here or as a sfo pick another hotel avoid the hassle and chaos. I ended up leaving in the middle of the night because of how uncomfortable he made me feel I felt safer on sf streets all night than being in that hotel with him around I can't wait to get a different sfo I. The am and not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is an old building and it shows it. The bathrooms are called 'water closets' and they're located outside the rooms. It's just a toilet. No basin to wash your hands.
I can feel the springs of the mattress. The quilt is new and I received a new towel so they are putting some money into the hotel.
There are washers and dryers for laundry (quarters required). The showers are also outside of the rooms and they're small. They're slightly larger than a room closet.
Staff are nice and helpful and check-in is painless. If you're on a tight budget this may...
