Charming, distinctive, smart, and a little hard to find. I just helped host an ArtPoint party at Lost Art Salon, and it was one of the best events to date.
The description of the salon as "Paris 1920s meets industrial urban loft" is spot on. The main room feels like a living room, and an intensely personal space. The artwork is hung salon-style, and framed pieces are stacked against the walls, works on canvas board are browse-able in bins, and shelves are packed with small paintings, sculptures, and ceramic vessels.

Read moreWe had an amazing time browsing through the gallery with my partner. Gaëtan and Morgan walked us through the different artists and showed us works according to our tastes and our Iikes. Browsing through the collection feels like treasure hunting. We even ended up buying a beautiful painting by a local SF artist who died a few years ago, and they helped us chose a frame. Merrill was extremely pleasant to work with, and even though the gallery no longer had the piece I originally ordered, she worked diligently with me to ensure I found another wonderful piece from the same artist.
