SF native here! My husband is not from here and I was so happy to introduce him to this taqueria but Every.SingleTime. he orders, they get it wrong. Ordered al pastor today and they gave him carnitas. It was an over the phone order and I even ask them to repeat the order (anytime I call anywhere I do this) and I offered to give them my name for when I pick up, but they said it wasn't necessary. I did that so they wouldn't mess up. But, they did.. They are just so busy all the time their quality of service has gone down and the prices have gone up. Not sure why this place is so popular with my recent experiences over the last 3 years. Makes me sad but this is the reality of this place now. Also, the person manning the phones would pick up and put it on the table, and after a while would answer. So I could hear them talking while I waited for her to talk to me on the phone. When I called back to complain, she denied it and said she's been manning the phones all day. I told her that I called 3x today and every single time this happened, one time it even hung up. She was nice and acknowledged the mistake but still super frustrating to drive all the way into a not so nice area with no parking from far away to just be super disappointed time and time again over the last 3 years specifically. If you comb through the reviews you will see a varying degrees of disappointment over the long term customers. We can all see/feel how the post pandemic era has affected all of the mission and has unfortunately gone down hill. But, yeah if order, go watch them build it I guess. Wouldn't recommend ordering on the phone because they seem to not pay attention due to high volumes. Maybe even watch out if you door...

I’m not sure if this place needs a review from me considering their 2,000+ positive reviews.

First time I had this place was before COVID and I was a little taken aback that I had no criticisms of my burrito. It was the perfect size, wrapped tightly, every ingredient in there was placed how it needed to with no weird pockets of sour cream at the end or only guacamole at the beginning. Every employee working the line was efficient, friendly, clean.

Their self serve salsa bar was impeccable even with the entire restaurant filled and patrons filling their salsa cups every minute.

An employee came by to refill all of the salsas that were kept CHILLED in order for food safety. And he also clean any spills that happened on the salsa bar.

Second visit was during COVID. I ordered through google and my order was early, I was greeted by friendly staff and made sure my order was correct before giving it to me.

I got a prawn burrito this time and it was 10/10 amazing. Perfectly cooked, ingredients spread out evenly like they’re supposed to be, and the order was indeed accurate.

I know I’m raving about what restaurants should be doing but to see it happen over and over again is why this restaurant has such plentiful and high ratings.

By far my favorite burrito spot in SF. A little bummed that it’s so far from me but that’s not their problem.

Highly recommend. You will not be...

Ordered delivery through Doordash. Preparing the meal was a little slow at 3pm but they are probably still swamped at 3pm. However, my driver picked up the order pretty quick (I was watching the order page the whole time). I was a little worried about that since other people who left reviews have had problems with the organization. The order came around 3:45pm and was still warm, no need for reheating. As for the food, I would rate it as 5/5 for what a deal it is. On Doordash, it's $8.37 and online order/pickup it's $7.95 for the 3 tacos deal. I can't find that price anywhere for something reasonably good. The meat was flavorful and not overly salted. For a simple taco (beans, meat, and pico) I would like if the meat was a little less dry. It wasn't fully dry but it wasn't juicy either. There wasn't sauce or other salsa provided with delivery orders. I don't think they make their own tortillas which seems a little rare in the city anyways. Overall, it's a great cheap place to get your taco cravings fulfilled but only if you have your own sauce to go with. I probably wouldn't come back.

Excellent and friendly service, however, the meal’s flavors do not seem to hit my flavor palette. Whenever I visit a Mexican restaurant for the first time, I always order either a carne asada burrito or tacos as a baseline to compare. The burrito had more rice and beans than beef, and the beef was under-salted and hardly seasoned. The pico de gallo salsa was decent, but nothing special. The chips and salsa included 3 types of salsa, roja, verde and some orange colored type, which tasted like sour tomatoes. The restaurant’s seating was ample, but a bit warm and stale, likely due to the stove being close to the seating and not properly ventilated. We sat against the windows and the window ledges were sticky and gross. I thought it was just our widow ledge, but I checked the other side and it was just as sticky. I likely won’t visit here again.
