Do not dine here. The people are scammers and the food is abysmal.

If you’re visiting and want authentic Thai, this is not it. The dishes we ordered were very poorly made—my pad kra pow (basil stir fry) was full of just soy sauce and a few sad pieces of bell pepper, with no garlic or red chili or basil for that matter. The sticky rice was so hardened I couldn’t even break it apart with a spoon.

The service was extremely rude. The waitress was standoffish from the start and spoke to my poor old father with such disrespect as he struggled with ordering. We felt uncomfortable the entire time because of their unprovoked attitude. She did not even give us water until I asked for it halfway through the meal.

They automatically added 15% gratuity to the bill with NO prior notice. We were a group of 3. I always tip service workers, even if the service and food were terrible as was the case here. However, it is extremely disingenuous to forcefully add gratuity without any explanation or disclaimer. Then to react defensively and force the customer to pay the tip as per their undeclared “policy” just constitutes a scam. It seems the workers feel no accountability to their customers since they receive their tips anyway, which would explain the bad service. When I brought it up to the waitress, she said she would ask the owner/manager to clarify. However, the manager avoided answering to why their automatic gratuity “policy” was undeclared and not possible to opt out of. He sent another waiter instead, who just shrugged. Of course we paid and left because the waiters shouldn’t have to answer to this. But very disappointed and ruined what was supposed to be a nice night with...

Worst Thai food experience I’ve encountered. Mediocre food, expensive and extremely small portions served. Check your bill because they will instantly add almost 20 pct gratuity on top of a 5 dollar self tip so be aware of their tricks to get more money out of you. They have increased their prices a lot, almost 30-40pct more but reduced portion sizes a lot also. Food is just average and nothing special. The pork fried rice was floating in oil, left a thick layer of oil aftertaste. The basil duck ala carte had 4-5 pieces of duck in it, ridiculously small portion for the price they charge, was expecting a whole fish for the spicy whole fried trout but it looked like half of a small fish when it came. While eating we heard the people next to us also commenting that the portions were extremely small for the prices they charge. Their staff is also rude and disrespectful. I had asked for some hot sauce from a fat male staff, he never brought it to us and when I asked again he said loudly, can’t you see that I’m busy ! When I looked around there was only 3 other small tables occupied. Disgusted by his horrible bad attitude. Won’t...

The guy with glasses is terribly rude! He is the one in charge. We asked for spice level for one of the dishes because other Thai restaurants my friends and I have been to (even in the same area) have different spice levels we can choose from. Regardless, we asked a reasonable question especially since people cant handle a lot of spice. Without answering our question, he immediately judged us saying, "you must have not had Thai food before because Thai food only has one spice." He went on to give us attitude and assume we have no idea what we're talking about since we are young adults. We let him know that we do not appreciate his customer service but he continued to argue with us and ultimately kick us out. This person cannot take constructive feedback and gets defensive when he's told that his attitude is not "okay". Additionally, he is rude to his workers. My friends and I have come to this place a lot since we were young but after multiple accounts of this behavior, the food for its price is not worth...

Place - It is easy to find. There are lots of tables inside. Good for large group. Clean interior. Taste - I ordered a wanton soup and lunch menu. * Wanton soup - I thought it is wantin noddle soup but it was just wanton soup. There were avfew wantons, a few vegies and few meat. The amount was too small. My boyfriend ordered it and ate all for few minutes. If u want a meal, it will be better to order wanton noddle soup. Taste was soso. Nothing special. The quality of wanton and soup was not really good. * Lunch combo -Lunch combo was btw 11am to 5pm. I could choose one appiti and meat. It came with egg fried rice and noddle. I picked chicken satay and pad kraw(beef). The dish was good! Especially, chicken satay was greally good. Others were also good but overall little salty. Service and Price - Service was good but little slow. Price was reasonable.

I needed to find a place to eat a late lunch and fortunately for me, Old Siam Thai Restaurant is right across the street from the Nikko Hotel. Normally, when I go to a Thai restaurant, I order the Pad Thai but this time I decided to be a little adventurous and instead ordered the dish #79, Gai Himapan and I am really glad I did. Less than 10 minutes later, the server brought out this beautiful creation. I couldn't wait to dig in. It was a delicious mixture of stir fried chicken with bell pepper and cashew nuts that gave it a wonderful sweet and sour taste that complemented itself perfectly with a mountain of rice. I would also like to mention how attentive the server was. He came around a few times to refill my water and I nodded enthusiastically when he asked how i liked the food. Would highly recommend this place.

4.5 stars. You know the food was good when you got all sweaty from eating. As someone who has been to Thailand 6 times, I think I can speak a few words about Thai food. The first thing I have to mention is their service. Everyone was so friendly and this one young server even warned me about the stairs. I ordered pad se-ew, and the signature Thai soup - tom yum soup. It took them about 30 minutes to prepare the food. The pad se-ew was good. The portion was incredible. However, for the Tom yum soup, the lack of spiciness made the sourness too overwhelming. I even thought it was tomato soup for a second. Maybe they adjusted it to accommodate the local people. One more thing I wasn’t sure about was that they added 18% tips to any parties. Not a fan of this practice, but good thing the service was good.
