I love this place I wish I could give it a different review but sadly customer service comes first product come second repeat business after. Upon visiting this place it became fast one of my favorite famous sandwich shops. The owner tells a story to each person coming through the door of his longevity his ability to make his customers happy and the fact that his mother as a staple at the Christmas. And all goes well until you meet her. Makes me wonder why the doors weren't close way long time about she changes the price per person per color per class he operates on a different business skills he's honest he's upright he's one of The Proud members of society that makes you happy that we have an immigration policy his mother not so much. After two full years of attending the sandwich shop weekly bringing all of my manual label employees in for lunch at several times throughout each month I finally met her. She charged me $3.75 in addition to my regular sandwich chart that was listed on the board she had me convinced that the sandwich have with Kris somehow over 30 day.. Only to find out about returning the following month with six of new employees for our company that know the price had not increased about his mother felt the need to charge me differently. At this point I severed my relationship with this lovely staple of our business the kitchen sink sandwich have become one of our biggest congratulation bonuses what time does sandwich. What charger are grown man out at the end of the day and reduce him to something as simple as a needed nap. Alas lack of customer service lack of business ethics separated me from a long-standing tradition with a beautiful sandwich. At some point algebra Norris and businesses do themselves a favor by realizing customer service first product second repeat business third it's less than all of us learn at some point sadly 20 years later the sandwich shop still...
Read moreBeen here 4 times over the last couple months and it’s pretty good if you need somethin for lunch. The problem is that the sandwiches are pretty pricy, and as a low income worker I usually ended up getting the bacon bagel which is one of the cheaper options, around $5 or $6 which is not too bad if they load the cream and bacon. Sadly, when I unwrapped my bagel back at work I discovered a terrifying site, THERE WAS NO BACON! I was definitely bummed out, but since I had already walked back to work I just ended up eating it anyways.
The second time I came, I made sure to check the bagel right when I got it and confirmed there was some bacon (and a good amount of cream cheese too), so this order was definitely worth it. Sadly, upon my third bagel order today, I discovered once again that there was no bacon again :(. I had let my bacon bagel guard down due to the previous order being correct. Heartbreaking, truly.
So if you’re going to go here, make sure that you open up whatever sandwich you got and verify that everything you paid for is in there. If they’re messing up a two ingredient order whose name is, The Bacon Bagel’, then you should proceed with caution when buying here. This is especially true for any big sandwiches with lots of ingredients since there’s lots to go missing. But, the one time I got a big deli sandwich was great! Pricey yes, but definitely real tasty. So if you got a bit of money and don’t care if an ingredient or two is missing, then this...
Read moreThis man (owner) on two occasions displayed irrational behavior when simply attempting to order a sandwich. He’d do better with less talking and more listening. Extremely rude and agitated proprietor. I drove a long way and parked out front because the sandwich last time was good, but that too was an strange ordeal. He berates you and tried to educate you on what it is you want-- rather than just making it. If your order is specific, he ain't having it. He’s used to talking to 16th & Mission street-people— and not professional people in a proper manner. He touched cash and makes sandwiches without cleaning hands. I am assuming his jaded behavior is because of dealing with the undesirable corner of SF this sandwich shop sits on. The crowd is sketchy, so expect to be treated the same. This man who runs this shop is not pleasant or problem solving. He actually kicked me out when I told him what I wanted and wasn't into being scolded like las time. He went crazed, lost it! I’m not used to this kind of environment or behavior. There are other quality sandwich places where they are humble and ready to take your order. I also saw him replacing a cookie to resell stock after a customer was handed the cookie and said she didn’t order it. Just let the customer take it at that...
