Chicken Drip, located at The Plant, is a new spot, and I'll give them this: it was clean.
Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. We went on Sunday, eager to try a new place, but the experience was... off. From the start, things looked a bit disorganized. We waited inside and immediately noticed boxes and a bottle of cleaning spray sitting right on the counter where food is placed. Not exactly appetizing. Then, after a 15-minute wait at our table, I watched as a dude came out from the back and tossed a food box onto the counter—and I mean tossed it, like a "here, come get your sheet" toss—and continued to talk to the young lady, completely ignoring the fact that he tossed the food. She noticed me watching and awkwardly pulled the box closer to her. I thought, was that food he tossed? I was hoping it wasn’t my food but I was wrong it was our order. I had my husband grab it because I was too disturbed by the whole "toss the food" situation. It was incredibly unprofessional. We got home and ate and the food was okay but the dude's attitude had left a bad taste in my mouth, literally and figuratively. Cleanliness is important, but it doesn't make up for sloppy service. Is this how they treat all customers? I'm not sure I'd recommend Chicken Drip, especially if you want your food handled with a...
Read moreFood is always good, place is always clean, and cooks push orders quick, but it seems like something weird is going on with this location's training for front of house staff.
I've been here four times, everytime I've asked about the Holy Chick and I've been told multiple reasons from different people why I couldn't get it. Either they were out, they were not making it at the time, or I needed to sign a waiver on their website and email it to them(a waiver which is non-existent on their website and there is no mention of).
Also everytime I've been there I've been able to order different spicy levels for my combo, except the most recent time. The cashier told me they don't do different spicy levels and then I told them I had gotten different spicy levels every single time I've been there and then they told me the owner says no more different spicy levels because they messed it...
Read moreFood was great! I recommend eating in, since fries and chicken come out fresh and you can avoid the food potentially getting soggy by sitting in its own steam in the boxes. Luis met us with excellent customer service as well and checked on my fiancée and I while we were enjoying our meal. This is my second time coming here and both times the chicken and fries were served hot and fresh indicating the quality of the food, which is superb. Hope anyone stopping by shares the same experience as my fiancée and I!
P.S. if you’re not a fan of the secret sauce the chicken pairs well with the honey packets they have...
