Tapioca Express — Restaurant in San Jose

I love tapioca express but this location is not it. I came here may 9 at 8:20 pm, I ordered my food on DoorDash and they called me saying they didn’t have the item I ordered, which was okay, I could change it to smth else, but the person on the phone was mad annoying she kept on rushing and didn’t seem like she wanted to answer any of my questions and had so much attitude. I would ask about the menu and she would just keep saying “oh you can’t make any adjustments just pick what’s on the menu” over and over again. the kitchen was gonna close soon I get it but like I just wanted to know what my other options were ???? Like I’m not gonna know every single thing on the menu I don’t work here. (I changed it to shrimp fried rice that she told me about but she didn’t tell me it had bacon in it so I couldn’t eat it anyway cause I was allergic) Then I went inside to pick up my order, I saw my drink that came with it, and I saw it didn’t have a lid, so I asked the guy for the lid, and he said “oh are you picking up? your supposed to tell us when you get here” with such an attitude, like okay how am I supposed to know that??? There’s no option on DoorDash to do that, Then he later explained when customers come then they cover the drink so it doesn’t water down, that’s good but how was I supposed to know that ?? He could have just said “oh is this your order okay I’ll cover it for you now” instead giving me such an attitude. I also work in food service I have bad days too I get it but no need to give people such a bad attitude...

Order itself was correct and good. However, we ordered online for pickup and it said 15-20mins. Received an email saying that it would take 40-55 mins to be ready for pickup. We drove to go. Received an email at about 20-25 mins after ordering saying it was Ready For Pickup (earlier than the 40-55 est but after the original 15-20 that we ordered for). Cut to arriving at the location. Wasn't ready (at all). So i went to the restroom and had my partner wait for it.

Restroom: there was no tissue so I had to go outside and find the refill stock because no one was around to help. For the womens restroom - it had a sign that said not to put tissue in the toilet. (So where would anyone put their dirty toilet paper? Ew). And there was no Sanitary Napkin area for women to dispose of stuff. There were no seat covers so I used TP to cover. When i went to throw the TP away, there was bloody tissues and a sanitary napkin wrapper just on top of the trash... At least have another trashcan with a lid or...

I decided to give this place another try but unfortunately it was not pleasant. I ordered a drink that came with mango pieces and the mango tasted so bad like it gone bad. As well the lady who took out order ( she wears glasses and has a low voice) gives off the energy that she hates her job or maybe customers. Also this location needs to make sure that they have enough cash in the till, my total was $17 and i gave them a $20 bill and I got $3 back in coins. There’s no issue about that but imagine if someone else paid with a larger bill? the drinks also took 15 mins to make when the store was alone during the...
