Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in San Jose

This chipotle location has absolutely went Downhill in food, service and quality I’ve been eating chipotle for the last three years. I started back in 2022 before then I did not eat chipotle because I was turned off by the food chain when they had the E. coli outbreak back in 2014 but I decided to give it a shot initially I was glad I did. The food was really good. High flavor great value good protein price is reasonable Over the last 18 months, this particular location has went down and quality and service food portions not are small, but are even smaller if you order through the app consistent cross-contamination of add one Corn mixed in with sour cream, etc. Low energy staff, I would not recommend this location, It is absolutely unacceptable. Broken online ordering, broken management.

For the second time in a month I used online ordering and when I got to the store they were running over an hour behind. I wouldn't mind too much but then they continue to allow new customers to walk in, place an order, and walk out with food. The store was wall-to-wall people, likely exceeding the capacity even in pre-covid times. I talked to the manager and she was helpless under the pressure. She refused to stop serving new customers despite dozens and dozens of unfulfilled online orders. Beware the online ordering system.

If you're in the same situation the following may work(it worked for me): Go through the line like a walk-in customer and place your order. At the register, tell them to cancel your online order. In my case, they took my name down and didn't make me pay...

Yesterday, the service was better than the last time I came. The previous time, the girl stingy, but yesterday they gave reasonable amount again. So the good crew came back. What I mean is that if the first scoop of meat is not great, the girl had the sense to give just a tiny bit more. The previous time, the New girl gave less than spoonful& threaten charge more. But this time the original person had the commen sense to give a tiny bit more if the meat was only one spoon, so to me that is Service. The only thing is the Chicken had too much flavour. This location used to have the best Plain Chicken ( great taste) but seem like they went back to Chipotle's recipie which to be honest is not great.
