This place might have been okay if the food was reliably good even if the service has consistently terrible. A grab and get out of there kind of situation. Having given this place a chance multiple times, only to be greeted by rude attitudes and unfriendly behavior, the food when good would not be worth it.
This time, their matcha was one of the worst we had. It was clear that they poured whatever matcha they had leftover before closing so the drink tasted stale and watered down. They didn’t mix the sugar they added at the bottom and the straws are too flimsy to stir it throughout.
Last time I went, I ordered a seasonal drink from their kiosk and wanted whipped cream on top. Since the kiosk was not working (this time I went it was shut down), I ordered through the front and the prices were different (~ 75 cents more). Through the kiosk there was no extra charge for whipped cream. When I ordered the drink, I realized I forgot to ask for whipped cream as it was not indicated on the menu and when I picked it up I asked if I could have some on the side. When I did though, he begrudgingly did so but told me next time to tell them next time as whipped cream is an 50 cents. I would have paid for it but he refused. Normally, I would not have cared if I could not get whipped cream or if I had to pay but the fact that I would have paid less for the whole drink + whipped cream if I ordered from the kiosk then if I ordered just the drink at the front.
It’s a pretty bad experience knowing you’re paying more for less because the machine is broken and given grief for not ordering correctly when the front menu options does not reflect it accurately.
Whenever I go here, the employees are always short and unfriendly with us. I’ve tried to convince myself this is a one time thing especially when the meal foods can be pretty decent but it’s happened multiple times. Pass on the milk based drinks since the milk they use tastes a bit off and order the fruit ones if they have it available. Then leave as soon as you can because it’s clear they don’t...
Read moreGot breakfast here this morning. Ordered two basic egg sandwiches and waited over 40min. There were ~10 people already eating and only 4 people ahead of me. My best guess is that they prioritize delivery orders and then all in-house orders get continually moved back.
People that came in 10min after (and ordered at the register) got their larger orders first. A woman beside me had already been waiting over 30min for A COFFEE. We were told to make a line outside to wait for food. Then we were told to wait at another door. Then to wait back at the first door when staff forgot why were over there. And when they call your number they only call it inside... so no one hears the number outside. AND EVEN WORSE. This place is a 1:1 clone of Eggslut in LA/LV and doesn't even come close to Eggslut quality. Like... if you're gonna straight-up steal a restaurants menu, at least try to match the quality. Also saw a dude drop an apple into the trash, pull it out, and put it straight into a machine to make drinks out of.
Clearly whoever is running this has zero experience in the restaurant business. They need to ask for help and level up immediately. Eggslut in LA/LV has HUGE lines all the time and your order is out in minutes (again, exact same menu since they copied it and Eggslut works with even less staff). This place is disappointing and you could buy the groceries and make it...
Read moreIRRESPONSIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICES. They gave our order to someone else and kept us waiting for over 30 minutes without providing any apologies or solutions. Their phone number is no longer active, and neither Doordash support nor we were able to reach them. So, if you want to cancel your order, insist on it being done in front of you.
We had a trip on Monday and decided to stop by Egghead for breakfast. We placed our order 20 minutes before arriving. Come to the store and they made me wait for 30 minutes only to discover that the cashier had given our order to someone else. With no apologies or solutions, she turned her back on us and continued to take other customer's orders. We asked her what she meant by giving our order to someone else, as our order status indicated otherwise. She said she would remake our order, still no apologies. We politely asked her to cancel our order and she said she would. However, she marked it as picked up after we had been left for an hour. Since neither Doordash nor we were able to contact them, our Doordash support had to escalate the case and ask her manager for assistance. Doordash provided us with satisfactory solutions and apologized in advance for our experience with Egghead, while Egghead was supposed to bear the...
