Had an experience with a very insecure security guard and it was very very upsetting. I wish I could give a worse review. This was the most egotistical irrational thing I’ve ever seen security do.
I was as sitting with someone and they had their foot up on a small box-like chair (mind you there was only about 10 people in the bar at the time, so space wasn’t an issue). Apparently this isn’t allowed (and we had no way of knowing it wasn’t allowed) and a security guard told my friend to put his feet down (WHICH HE DID IMMEDIATELY). Of course since we didn’t know this was a rule we were visibly confused and asking each other what was wrong. But the security guard saw our visible confusion as “disrespect” and we were escorted out of the bar.
I had ordered ONE drink at the bar that I barely got to drink and they didn’t allow me to finish my drink. Please help me understand how being confused and discussing our confusion is disrespect. If you are that sensitive to your PERCEPTION of what people are talking about you shouldn’t be a security guard. This was probably the worst experience I’ve ever had at any facility.
Not only was staff rude but the place was FILTHY. The floors were incredibly sticky despite no one being there. When we first came in we were the only people there but the floors were already sticky. It was genuinely disgusting and I don’t understand why the floors had not been cleaned.
I genuinely hope that this place employs better staff and security because I had a terrible first experience here. I’m upset because I feel like my money was stolen from me at this bar. The security wouldn’t even try to listen to our side of the story. So I hope the owner of the bar reviews any security footage from march 26th around 10pm and can see that we were just visibly confused. We did not say anything about the security guard, we were not acting out, we were only sitting down and occasionally dancing to the music and trying to have a good time. The only thing that we were asking each other was about the rule of not being able to put your feet up. I really wish I could get a refund on my drink.
I really want to give this place a second chance, but as of now I do not recommend going to this bar. Please do better or your customers will...
Read moreThis place is awful. I went with a few of my friends for a birthday trip, and when the bouncers attempted to interrogate me and my friends less than two minutes into us getting in to see if we were the people who vomited on the dance floor, I knew we should have left then and there. But, we stayed and we waited for 45 minutes for my friend to grab a drink. I was still very much sober considering IT WAS OUR FIRST BAR OF THE NIGHT, so I sat very proped up on the upper back of the (sticky) couch in the corner, looking for my friend in the VERY packed dance floor. I wasn't causing trouble, and I was up there for less than a minute. Once I spotted my friend in the crowd, I sat all the way down. I immediately had a flashlight shoved in my face. The bouncers asked me to follow them. I wasn't rude, I hadn't said anything at that point, and once I realized I was being kicked out, I stopped in the hallway and tried to talk to the bouncer and ask him what had even happened, or if I can wait for my friends or at LEAST catch my bearings. He then proceeded to YELL IN MY FACE before I could even get a word in to get a move on, and that I won't be allowed back in. I tried to ask for a refund for the drinks I DIDNT EVEN RECEIVE, and the security at the front refused to let me get a word in, just assuming I was as trashed as the rest of their customers. Absolute WASTE of $27 for two drinks I didn't get, a waste of almost an hour, and a sad excuse for a bar. I'd absolutely get it if I was climbing on furniture drunk, but there was absolutely no reason to talk to me like that when I wasn't causing a scene, and honestly could have had a conversation with me instead of dragging me out to a back hallway. Hope they also kicked out the guys reaching up the skirts of the blacked out women in the bar too, but considering the other reviews I'm seeing on this bar I...
Read moreThis place is run by thugs who get a kick out of committing battery against customers for no reason.
Went in with some friends as I was their designated driver for the night (which means I had ZERO drinks that night and was completely sober). I recognized some other friends who happened to be there. After hugging them, a 50ish year old man of medium stature with white long hair, who I later found out was named Rodney, confronts me stating I bumped into him and was in his space. My response was that no I was not, which prompted him to get closer to me. I asked what his problem was and the man immediately attempted to wrestle me to the ground. As the skirmish progressed, this man elbowed my girlfriend in the face as she was attempting to pull him off of me. Quickly all 4 bouncers ripped my shirt and threw me out while the man was confusingly being protected while barking orders at the bouncers. All while the bouncers were yelling misogynistic insults and slurs at my girlfriend. Turns out this man Rodney is some sort of manager and/or business partner and is allowed to do this to any customer he pleases.
In short, Temple's management is allowed to commit unprompted battery on the clientele with zero repercussions. Not sure why anyone would want to appoint this thug Rodney as manager or go into business with him, but that's not my problem.
Side note: Temple is also xenophobic so if you are an immigrant that hasn't gotten your U.S. ID yet and only have your country's passport (which is, in fact, a valid form of identification in California) don't bother unless you are ready to accept the bouncer's inevitable offer of a $20 bribe. I have been witness to this twice. Actually even if you have one don't bother either. Place is...
