I love Henry's HI Life but there is now a Italian place across the street. The new owners are the owners of Henry's Hi Life and the other owner is Josh who buy the way is the head chief and WOW can he make YUMMY dishes. (OMG) I go over there with my friends and get the Meat and cheese platter. there is nothing like this in the Bay area and the Meat balls are incredible. They have great salads and really interesting appetizers. Some of them you look at and say what? But when you bit into them it's great and very special dishes.
So check this out. they have Pizza by the slice and whole pizza's the menu is very special to say the least. During the day for lunch they have fantastic sandwich's, pizza's by the slice and other Yummy dishes. Now in the front section of the restaurant is a full bar with the most interesting beers. They even give you a tast to see if you like it. (Pretty cool to say the least).
And in the back is where they make the food and a full wine bar and lots of seating. this is a classy place and very comfortable. Parking can be challenging when there is an event at the Shark Tank but you will not regret the experience at this place. I love there fettucine with Peso sauce and a Caesar salad and maybe a slice of pizza if I have room or share it with someone.
This place is really clean and well keep up. This place is fun and not stuffy. Even arcade games over in the corner for the kids.
I really think you...
Read morePretty awful food all around. We went there specifically because they served italian sandwiches until 6pm, according to their website. We were looking forward to trying this place for a while, too.
We got there at 5 and nope they said they wouldn't do it, and when asked, could not explain why. We ordered the one sandwich they were willing to make and it was pretty gross, it had a strange cinnamon taste not appropriate for giardiniera. I ordered a pasta and it was exceedingly mushy, and I think was reheated. My pizza slice didn't seem fresh at all and was probably reheated from hours ago too. It is merely Bibo's pizza anyway and would have been better at the regular Bibo's location.
The staff seemed disinterested and had a weird difficulty answering pretty simple questions like "what time does your wine store close".
I give the atmosphere 3 stars because if there were people there it might have been cool, but we were literally the only people there.
My glass of wine was good (the only thing we ordered that we really enjoyed) and they have some very interesting wines in the store. But in terms of being a restaurant, I would rather go to Olive Garden sadly.
I don't like having to write this review because it's a really good idea for a restaurant, with the mix of italian foods and pizza and the wine store / tasting, but they badly need to fix...
Read moreA great spot! They recently opened but it felt like a place that’s been in the neighborhood for a long time.
The food is good, the beer and wine menus have a wide selection, and the atmosphere is light and fun. We sat in the Pour Decisions beer bar side, but each part of the restaurant has a little bit different of a vibe which is awesome. It was raining when we went but there’s also a large outdoor courtyard with seating as well.
There’s a small but mighty selection selection of pizza and sandwiches. I ordered and loved the Parma Johnny and our table shared the Grande Tavola which is a charcuterie board that we shared among the 6 of us.
The deli also has a small selection of Italian grocery/packaged food for sale.
It’s a great addition to the...
