I never leave reviews but for this place I HAD to. Went to an event there on 10/20/17 but before going I called the restaurant earlier that day to ask what time the event started (a singer was performing) they said 9:00pm. We arrived right before & they only charged us $10 instead of the $15 they had advertised I was like okay? We sit down enjoy the music only for someone to go on stage and say that they had to end the event now bc they had double booked it... and had to give the floor to the other audience. We asked people around us how long the singer had been performing and they told us he had started at 8:00pm. I was a little upset bc I had called prior to going, but still okay bc my dad was enjoying the music (we had only been there for 25 min at this point). Food wise, we ordered a beer and 2 sodas ($8 for the beer and $3 for the sodas) I didn’t think it was a lot bc obviously it’s a show. We then ordered 2 more beers and their basic nachos which are just chips, cheese, and jalapeños advertised for $7. The waiter comes back and tells us it’s $28, it doesn’t add up. I ask him why it’s $28 and he tells me it’s bc all beers are $6 each and at night they charge the $7 basic nachos at $14 🤔. It still didn’t add up should have been $26 in that case. I ask another waiter who we had not interacted with at all, the price for the beers and she again confirms all the beers are $6 each. The first waitress charged me $8 for the beer, second one charged $6 and overcharged for the nachos and still didn’t add up. They said I could go FIND the manager if I had any complaints... at this point I just wanted to get out of there. The lack of organization and professionalism from the employees and management is not good for business. I hope their service isn’t always like this, customers deserve better.

Picked up an order for lunch on a Tuesday (day after we effectively went into purple tier). Amicable staff, were quick to take our order and food was ready within 10 minutes. Little area to park in their parking lot due to the tent for outdoor dining. No other customers were there, seemed pretty slow but they plan to reopen outdoor dining once the rain dies off. That said, brought the food home and it was still warm. The super burrito was up to par with superb condiments complementing the moist, tender chicken. No additional salsa needed as this was ready to eat out of the foil. The chorizo and egg plate was also pretty delicious albeit standard for a Mexican restaurant (to be honest, it is pretty hard to mess this up). Frijoles and arroz were decent as well. Glad they provided utensils and presentation of food was good. Price commensurates food quantity and quality.

From the moment the waiter took away our drink menu before anything else, nor did he ask... He just seemed "angry at the world". Then he just abandoned us w no explanation. Wth. THEN, as soon as we received our food, I could smell FISH 🤢 I quickly identified the beans as the culprit. I could not eat the beans due to said issue and the rest of the food was nblah at best. THEN, the "?ground" beef? Felt like mush meat, tasted like Fast food overly "filled w fillers" mush, rather than ground beef. Idk 🤮 But again, the 1st waiter was a hot mess and unattentive. Our "new" wait staff was a bit more customer friendly. ? ARAVELLA, the waitress, made up for his/? lack of customer service skills.

Went to Mexico Lindo Y Cantina on Monday. It was pretty bare inside, so we were not sure if we made the right choice. We stayed anyway because we were all hungry from a long day. We first went to bar in back where it was super cool and great authentic Mexican music.. However,, because we were hungry and tired we opted to site in the dinning area.. Our waitress came over with the biggest prettiest smile and greeted us with menus. She was super sweet and out going. We all ordered margaritas on the rocks while she gave me a rundown of the vegetarian options. We all ordered. When our food arrived I was extremely shocked and pleasantly happy. The plates we hugh! So much food! We blessed our food and went in! It was so good! I had the cheese enchilada plate and wow, so much flavor and cheese! I eat so much and stuffed my belly but still had leftovers! Judging a restaurant by the least amount of people in it, I will not do that again. I'm surprised it's not packed out everyday! Definitely a keeper! More people should put this place on there restaurant to go to list! I promise they won't be...

This used to be my family's go-to restaurant, but the service is getting worse along with the food. The cheese in enchiladas is cold and never melted in the middle, tamales have very little meat, tacos are cold, rice is cold, beans are extremely hot...go figure. I gave this place too many chances and our last visit on 8/16/2015 was awful. We waited long periods of time to order, waited long for refills, waited longer for food, and had to ask for the check. The restaurant wasn't busy, per usual, so there's no reason for the waitress to slack on service. I was also covering the cost of lunch for my mom's bday and the server had to void the transaction and re-enter everything bc of an error. So, I was charged $400 instead of $200. It's been 11 days and no credit back to my account. I've called the restaurant 5 times, spoke to the mgr twice, and still nothing. We love Mexico Lindo and will go to other locations in SJ without question, but this one location is bad news. Don't waste time...
